The only facts to using a cartomizer on a REO is that some people prefer it, and these are some of the reasons:

1. Feel of the vapor can be different on cartos like duals or LR
2. Can be more convenient, less messy
3. Cheaper for some who blow attys often
4. Cartomizers are disposable, so no messing around with cleaning, etc. for some
5. Don't have to carry a spare atty

Well, same convenience as a cartomizer but without the stuffing. I might have lost the plot but I just want something as solid and low maintenance as the REO but also without the risk of burning and inhaling the stuffing.

Maybe it would help to know that on a REO, the odds of burning drop to nearly zero, you almost have to purposely vape a carto dry for that to happen, and THEN put a fresh battery on it without squonking. Squonking is to squeeze the bottle and suck up, hear a gurgle and it's wet again. I use anywhere from 50 to 60% VG and I haven't had a burnt carto since I got mine.

Boge 2.0 last a week for me without any change from the moment I fill them. I get mine from CCV, 15 of them shipped free for $19. I toss them when I notice even the slightest performance change. $1.27 a week for consistent vaping. That's why I use cartos on a REO.

Too much fanboyism! I know it's a great mod because I've been lurking on these boards and so many people love it. But I just want the facts :)

How many different ways can the same things be said? They work great with cartos period. No fanboyism needed to state that undisputable FACT.

A couple of question for folks that have Reos bottom feeder mods...
1) If you vape a juice that you have to shake up a lot, like those with oil as in cinnamon, how does that work out for you in a bottom feeder? Do you just shake the whole mod every now and then, take the bottle out each time you want to shake it up, or just let the juice separate? Doesn't the juice gather in the overflow cup on top? If you shake the box to mix up the juice, does the juice in the overflow cup fly everywhere? Or if the box mod falls over does juice run out of the overflow cup?
2) For the Reos folks, regular reos or mini? I like the size of the min box but what about the advanatages or disadvanteges of the batteries on the 2 models? How would the reo mini perform better than an eGo with 1100 mah battery? Go with the larger box/battery?

Hope I'm not intruding to much on the OP.

That's a good question, I've ran Cinnabomb through mine, but since I vape about 4-5 ml a day, I never thought about having to shake it after I fill the bottle. I don't think anything would happen if you shake it in the REO though, the only way juice would pool in the cup is if you pressed the bottle a lot, but didn't vape. People test juices by filling up the cup/overflow, it gets sucked right up into an atty (or carto).

You can do 3.7v (14500) or 6v (2x14250) on the mini, and you're right, those batteries don't last as long as an 1100 mah eGo, you won't care though - the performance is better. If I am taking my mini out for a long time, I bring 2 batteries, they are only $6.99 each and they charge in about 40 minutes on a Pila charger. I rotate four of them.

I prefer the grand over the mini, but a lot of guys (I'm a semi-old lady), like the mini because it fits in their watch pocket on jeans. It's also nice because it is almost hidden when you're holding it in your hand.

Not intruding at all. Four more questions (really silly ones):

1. If I have 20 different e-liquid flavors does that mean I would need 20 compatible 3ml bottles if I wanted to be alternating often? I wouldn't mind decanting all my e-liquids into compatible bottles, I'm just wondering.

2. When you're near the end of a bottle of liquid, do you need to tilt the thing to get it to feed into the atomizer?

3. If it uses 3.7v batts, should it theoretically vaporize liquid at the same rate as a 3.7v eGo?

4. If you have an eGo side-by-side with a Reo Mini, give them the exact same cartomizer and liquid, how will the REO produce better vapor?

1. You can do that if you want to, but most probably just add a new flavor to the empty bottle, or rinse it out and blow it dry. If you really wanted to have compatible bottles filled, you could order some from here: 3 ml, 6 ml and 10 ml Dropper Bottles, CandleChem Company, Inc.

2. No, you just squeeze the bottle and suck on the end of your drip tip or whatever you're using, it gets nearly every last drop.

3. Theoretically yes, but in reality not really. I don't know what the science is behind it, maybe it's the AW IMR 14500 batteries (for the mini) or the AW IMR 18650 batteries (for the grand) that make the difference. They come off the charger at about 4.21v and then drop and hold at 3.7v. You notice when they drop under 3.7v and then you put them back on the charger. It might be just how the REO operates.

4. Same as 3rd question here, I don't know, but they do, it must be the consistent regulation of the voltage. Every vape is the same on a REO for me. It wasn't on a 3.7v eGo/Riva battery - sometimes it was, sometimes it wasn't. Cartos last longer too on a REO.

People don't rave about REOs because they want everyone to buy one, we are just happy because we found something that feels like smoking and is as easy as smoking, and it's the same every time you use one. Maybe part of it is the security of having such solid device that you know won't fail on you too. Before I got mine, I felt like I was spending all my time taking off my drip tip, topping up my carto, worrying about burning the carto, sometimes having to vape through over filling just trying to get to what felt right and tasted good, etc., then having to wipe off the end of my battery, screw it into the charger and so on.

    in a cave, eh?
The eGo isn't 3.7v. More like 3.4 volts (it rapidly cycles between 3.4 and 0 volts). You should notice a warmer vape in a REO just from the voltage difference.

Do you really want to be alternating between 20 different e-liquid flavors? Maybe you just want 2 or 3 bottles for daily use. You might manage with separate cartomizers filled with your extra juices, and just use the squeeze bottle for your one all-day vape.

If you're testing new juices, drip them on to the atomizer directly instead of squeezing it from the bottle.

Thank you. So for point 3 I assume the REO burns liquid faster? Again, just wondering.

Yes it does. Some might say no, but in my experience, it burns more juice. I went from about 3-4 ml a day to just under 5 ml most of the time. My husband still uses cartridges on a Riva and he is around 2-3 ml, so that seems to be the most economical in terms of juice burning. He seems to like pulling off the cartridge from the atty, I don't know why - he's making a mess half the time lol

I cut my nic level from 18 mg to 12 mg too and didn't notice any difference. I over did it a few times when I first got the REO, I suppose because of the consistency. Now I do DIY and I like what I make better than what I was buying, so I don't worry about how much juice I'm using.

I want to clarify that I have used a Riva SE, which is a true 3.7v and the REO is better and more consistent.

Depending on which eGo batteries you buy, the eGo batteries will produce a higher voltage under load than the 18650 battery that the Grand and Woodvil uses. The higher voltage will give you more vapor, flavor and warmth and burn liquid at a faster rate.
    See HERE.
I ran the same test to see why my eGo's were performing better then my REO Grands and got nearly identical measurements.

I'm not sure I follow that test at all. I don't even know where to start explaining why. There are so many things wrong with that test. I can elaborate if you like, but there are tons of posts that go into extreme detail as to why that's just completely false.

/Ok, just to expand on that. The IMR is supposed to hold the voltage, which it did exactly that. The Riva, which is an unregulated Li-on, and starts at a higher voltage off the charger, will crap itself in about 15 minutes of vaping, and drop below the IMR. Also, your price points are bogus. The 2900mah AW is about 16, the IMR is far less. About $10, and it's been that way for a long time. It's a bogus comparison. It's bunk. You shouldn't even link that kind of garbage here, because some new person is going to come along and think it's true. Nothing against ego's, but let's not post silly crap.

I've seen similar battery tests, even with a skinny Joye battery, but they don't take overall performance into account. If this were all there was to it, nobody would have a mod.

AW IMR 18650 are $10 now, but I suppose they were $16 when the video was made.

No. No they weren't. The 2900mah ones were. This is just bunk.

Thanks for posting what I wanted to write, which was, "yeah, if you want to switch your battery every 10 minutes."
