question about silica?

No need to boil, if you get a funky taste from your silica you can just torch the piece you intend to use to make your coil

I believe boiling is specifically for cotton. Some people will torch silica or just use a lighter briefly to burn off any residues, but I just use it as is with good results.

been boiling ekowool and just using silica as is...thanks for the reply guys!
