So what i'm wondering is do all Smoketech DCT's 6ml and 3ml come by default with a 1.5ohm carto?

Reason i'm asking is i noticed a difference in the flange that comes with them 6ml rounded flange, 3ml with 2 flat sides on the flange. Initially I didn't think much of this. But did notice the 6ml were working way better on the ego-t battery. The other day I went to try a 2.5ohm carto on the big tank and found it performed the same as the cartos on the small tanks, which wasn't very good on the ego-t. Read later that the 2.5ohm work better with a 5v so that explains why.

Also noticed that the 1.5ohm i ordered from canvape all are rounded flange, and the 2.5ohm are all with the 2 flat sides on the flange. Is this a normal physical difference between the two?

I ended up switching all the small tanks to the back up 1.5ohm that i ordered from canvape and all work great now. Is it possible the 3ml tank is shipping with the 2.5ohm carto instead of the 1.5ohm?

Curious if my gut feeling on this is right or not.

The flanged DCT cartos are all keyed (flat sides on the flange). The 3ml DCT is known as the DCTv2, while the 6ml is the first version. My assumption is that there will be a 6ml v2 at some point with the keyed bottom cap.

All the ones i have are all round on the bottom....so these would not work in the 3mil correct? I see them as being flat on the sides (canvape) but all the ones i have ever bought there are round with no flat sides.

Actually the i put the rounded ones on the 3ml tank and no leaking and its been 24hrs, but the draw and vapor is better on those then the cartos that came with the 3ml tank. The draw I get off the cartos that came with it is the same as when i try the 2.5ohm carto i ordered(which are also the keyed style) on my ego-t battery. Why I got to wondering about if the style of the flange wasn't the only difference.

dam... also forgot to mention i tried all of the 6 - 3ml tanks i ordered and was the same issue with all of them.

Clarification. 3ml tanks = Keyed, 6ml tanks= currently not keyed.

Non keyed carto's will work on keyed tank.

Ok that is good news. I wonder if the guys we buy from will be getting keyed cartos? And if the 6mil tanks are going to switch to the keyed tanks.....I am really thinking of getting one of the VPX tanks and sloting my regular boge cartos.....

I would assume that the 6ml tank will get an update at some point, but who knows. The keyed bottom is nice; No slipping of the carto in the tank when screwing it on to the pv.

I find if I use a Cherry Ming drip tip I don't have any issues with that as it fits nice and snug, mostly have the issue with the generic drip tip that comes with the tank as it slips in the carto easily when turning.

Agreed! I have a calabash type dt (Like a ming) on mine here right now. For the same reason... :)

Yes I think this is the case.

I found the exact same experience you described, only I never ordered a 6ml tank. I did however order 3 3ml tanks and a pack of 2.5's and a pack of 1.5's.

The 2.5's have the flat flanges
The 1.5's have the round flanges

The 3ml tanks come stocked with the flat flanges - and they perform just like the backup 2.5's I have. So even though they might be advertised to come with 1.5's in reality they seem to be 2.5.

Happy to see i'm not the only one to notice this, was starting to wonder is it just me? lol
At least if I order them in the future i know to just put in a 1.5ohm carto off the bat and save the other for any future VV adventures I may have.
