While fixing another one of my PV's which hit the floor due to me falling asleep with it on my lap and using super glue to put the 510 connector back and make it stay along with the body of the pv I started to wonder if it was safe to use it.

Will using super glue on a 510 connector and having it only on the inside no contact with any cartomizer or tank heat up the connector to produce any fumes?

What about on the body if the glue is close to the battery?

Superglue is cyanoacrylate, and breathing the fumes when it's damp is not recommended.

However, once it sets up, I don't think there would be much, if any, fumes remaining. For safety's sake, I'd put it to the side if you can for a day or two, use an alternate PV, and then return to it. If you detect any funny smell or taste, call it a loss.

Dry superglue is flammable at about 450 degrees (thanks, Internet!) or roughly the same as paper. The plastics in the PV will melt far lower than that and burn around the same temperature (or much lower or higher depending on what plastic is used).

Keep in mind that an impact could theoretically damage the battery or connectors inside, rendering the device less safe or unsafe. Personally, if one broke due to a fall I'd be more comfortable discarding it and replacing. That's kind of unrealistic on a mod, really cheap on something like an eGo.

These are random devices e.g Grippers, Lavatubes etc where the connectors or body has separated and I needed to just glue the caps or connectors in place.

I use heavy tanks and also goose necks with those heavy tanks so I have a bad history of lose connectors on quite a few of my devices.

Sounds like most of them are probably safe by now they been well over 6 months dry. The one I did today was to just keep the body from seperating.
