Ok, so I am pretty much hooked on the tanks and always have one handy! My question might be stupid but bear with me (hehehehe) So I was using them and after almost a month, it started getting a bit hard to draw so I would toss the dual coil cart and put in a new one. Given how cheap they are, I think almost a month of usage is still a great deal!

Then when the next one hit that point where it wasn't drawing well, I thought hmmmmm.... maybe I should just try cleaning it out and see if that fixes it. So I did - just ran warm water through it for a few minutes then gave it a good blow job (hehehe) let it dry out for a day and it is as good as new!

My question is, is anyone else cleaning out and reusing the dual coil carts? Since they are so inexpensive, it really didn't occur to me, but then it did lol. ;)

You can certainly clean and reuse dual coil tank cartos just like regular ones. All the same techniques apply, etc. Eventually there will come a point where it doesn't help any more. It depends in the juice, how hot you vape, etc. Juices that are sweet ruin cartos faster. Given how long yours are lasting, I'm guessing not a sweet juice and/or little chain vaping going on, as I get 3 days to a week at best myself (all sweet fruit flavors)

I agree with your statement that they are cheap enough to simply replace, especially given that you get a month out of them !

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies... ;)
Morandir835 - I'll let you know how long this one lasts.
TheBlueAdept - I am using Java Junction in the tank. Sweet, but not super sweet! Love it!

I tend to have 2 batts at a time going (2 different flavors) - a tank and a regular carto (old habit that keeps the carto from getting hot and burning. I take 2 hits off one, then 2 hits off the other, then set them down for a bit). Even when I am somewhat chain vaping, by using 2 it gives the other a chance to cool off a bit in between.

I really love the tanks though, might end up switching to those completely!

I would take Mr Morandir's advice over mine regarding cleaning dual coils... My less informed response failed to account for the diapers.. I always forget about those darn things. :)

It's good to alternate like you do between two devices, in my opinion; I agree it helps keep the heat down and extends the carto lifespan a bit.

I'm a total tank convert myself, I only use regular cartos for occasional vapes or test vapes.

Ok, so cleaning and reusing the carto didn't work so well... Once I got the juice in there it clogged up pretty fast! They are so dang cheap anyway so far better to just replace in my humble opinion! Mr Morandir sir, you were right!

I now have 2 tanks on xl diamond titans going at all times - will just use the regular cartos on flavors I didn't care for on the tank (pineapple and peach cobbler)

Right now my favorite vape is Java Junction and Java Mint! Although the mint is too strong for my taste, just like a hint of mint so my formula is 1/4 java mint to 3/4 Java Junction - perfection!

I am fairly new to tanks. Didn't like them in the beginning but have learned to love them. I changed from the 6 ml to the 3.5 and I like the balance on my titan better. I generally get hooked to one juice flavor that I love at the moment and have all tanks filled with the same juice and just switch between them during my chain vaping periods.

I have outlaw apple going in them now so I am sure they won't last too long. I am getting ready to load up my new ones with Java Junction/Java Mint and I hope they will get the same kind of life you are talking about. I plan to just toss the carts so I don't want to burn them too fast.

I have a really stupid question however are the replacements for the 3.5 ml tanks and the 6 ml tanks the same? I only see one size for the 808's on the website. Also so far I haven't had to change one out but sure I am getting close to needing too. How complicated is the processs for one with no (zero) mechanical ability or brain???

Ms. JenJen using those two juices will clog them up faster than most, and even in standard cartos they're hard to get out... Glad you're enjoying them. :)

I know you probably posted this hear before. I remember reading about how fast some juices would burn, but it went right over my head. What is your suggestions for juices that do best in tanks (not taking into account the taste preferences).

Hey Jen,

As for Dual Coil or Single Coil Tank Replacment Cartos I clean them on occasion but only if they meet a certain criteria.

1. Fully Functioning
2. No signs of flooding
3. The top of the Polyfill is still white
4. Only used with light flavors or flavors I plan to keep in my daily rotation.

I rinse them out with cold water at very low pressure, thermometer shake them out, rinse and repeat one more time, drop them in glass of water and let them soak for a day, rinse out with cold water, blow out, and set them down battery connector-up in a place that gets 2-4 hours of direct sunlight. You can Taryn Spin them, but these days I am never short replacements so I have the time to let them sit out and dry.

No reason to attempt removing all the past flavorings when they are going to be used with the same or similar flavorings.

Ms. MystStick the mint and menthol flavors do best at higher wattage. Nuport wow, Smilin premium, wow peppermint, peacemaker, wow tt menthol, and wow Smilin are a few that jump out off the top... :)

Thanks Morandir! I use the Smilin premium all the time in carts...... guess it is time to fill up a tank!

Smilin in a tank is da bomb MystStick! 8 days was the shortest a carto lasted while the longest was 17 days! I vape it daily as it's my go-to. Fill it once a day, sometimes twice. However, I do have 4 other flavors in tanks that I use too. Guess I'm all over the place - So maybe this doesn't help...:2c:

Thanks SAG, I don't think I have any in liquid as I usually only fill my tanks with USA juices but have boxes of the carts! My next order will include some and I can't wait to try it. It is funny how things taste so different between a reg cart and tank.

SAG try your favorite flavors in the tanks. I take a dual coil cart on the inside and I still get good flavor and vapor :D

I'm reading this and have a question for you Premium Smilin' tank users.... what kind of cart are you using?

I've been using Dual Coil 1.5 ohm, and I'm just not getting the vapor production with Premium Smilin' that I do with other flavors. Even with a brand new cart, Smilin' feels like it's clogging and not vaporizing the way it should.

Should I switch to a single coil? Stay at double with different ohm rating?

Anything to point me in the right direction helps. ;)
