Looking at the AllBattery.com site, it says that the Smart Charger for the Tenergy LiFEPo 3v 750mAh battery is not compatible with the Tenergy LiFEPo 3v 900mAh battery and vice versa, but the chargers look identical and I can't see any difference. Is this a marketing ploy to get you to buy both chargers?

Does any one have both the 750mAh & 900mAh batteries but only bought one charger?
If so, does the charger work with both types of batteries?

Thanks.

I have a set of LiFePO4 batteries RCR123A 3.0 V 750 mAh. I also have a set of LI-ION RCR123A 3.0 V 900 mAh. Both are Tenergy. Both chargers are identical exactly, except the LI-ION is a Model PH-123A-3.0A and the LiFeO4 is a PH-123A-3.0. And the voltages are different as well. The LI_ION charges at a higher charging rate than the LiFePO4 does, so please be careful. Don't mix them up with the wrong battery.
As far as I know, there is no LiFePO4 900 mAh battery, just a 750 mAh.

Hope this helps...

That helped a lot. That's just what I needed to know. I thought they were both LiFePO4 batteries, but thanks to your post I now see that only the 750mAh is.

I bought both types from an ECF member and a Tenergy charger was included that I thought I could use with both. I now see that the charger is for the blue 900mAh and not the yellow 750mAh. I guess I need to get another charger now. :) I did use the charger on 2 of the 750mAhs once and hopefully I didn't damage them. They charged SUPER fast.

Thanks a bunch for the info. :)

Yes, as you have already learned from the posts, you need different chargers, the chemistry is different for both types. What I have learned is the Tenergy 900 mAh batteries can live for 1,000 charge cycles, and the LIFEPO4 750 mAh batteries have a 2,000 charge cycle, so while "mAh" wise the "safer" batteries will not run as long, but will last longer, I think that is a decent trade off.
