I try not to vape just ONE as an all day vape... just because I don't want my taste buds to become accustomed to the pointt that I can't "taste" as strong as I did in the beginning...
I am totally hooked on ButterRum! Mmmm! It is so delicious, exactly like a ButterRum lifesaver from back in the day.... (and I finally found a store that sells them again)... So, I vape it quite often, I was a menthol smoker and tend to add menthol to quite a lot of the full tobacco flavors... RY4 I can vape alone or w/ menthol and I vape that when I am just "vaping" and not having time to sit and enjoy, relaxing, etc...
My relaxing vape is also ButterRum or Banana or Coconut... Those are 2 new found flavors that just blew me away... I also love Raspberry from Dawn @ DIYFlavorshack... I mention her specific because I got a raspberry from another vendor that is "medicinal" tasting and I am having a hard time using it even as a few drops added to another flavor to get rid of it... Hers is so good, I was pleasantly surprised!
DK-TAB is one of the tobacco flavors I really like a lot and can actually vape alone- However when I first got it, I wasn't too thrilled with it...
As Ashhole pointed out, this will be so different for so many people and can vary so greatly...
I didn't have concerns about OD-ing, just finding a strength that was not taking me above what I was getting in a cigarette already... I have found 18-24/26 mg is great for me right now... I vape at the same rate that I smoked... If I do happen to pick it up from habit and not from need of a cigarette, I grab a lower strength or 0 mg... I, too, am using e-cigs to decrease nicotine intake so I can eventually quit cigs/nicotine altogether... I have various strengths and I bought like that in the beginning on purpose... Exactly what I do, add 0 mg- 6 mg to same flavor 18-24 mg to bring it down some... see how long before I want to vape again, etc- I have had my e-cigs for a few days less than a month now- I am not decreasing so often yet... I still have ocassional cigs... I am already less than half of what my normal cig intake was though, so I have progressed... I will hope to be rid of analog cigs w/in another month- My husband and I are both vaping so it will become easier as he also stops analogs completely...
My suggestion is to get a strength you "think" you may need based on discussions here- get a strength lower than that and a strength higher than that... & I believe everyone should have 0 mg on hand or at least a PG/VG base and flavor to make up your own... that way you can use to cut, mix, etc- Not necessarily DIY right off the bat but definitely if you have a strength too strong... be able to add a lower strength/0 mg strength to it so you can make it bearable...
I get lengthy, sorry...
