Hi all.

1. What is your favorite flavor for the juice for all day? What is your favorite flavor of juice to relax with (not all day, once in a while kind of thing?) Where do you get the juice from?

2. I'm freaked about OD'ing on nicotine. How do you figure out how much to smoke? I used to be a half a pack to a pack and a half a day but I do want to eventually quit so I'm not sure how much mg i should buy. I see random calculations but I don't get them.... What's you're way of figuring out how much mg is right for you?

3. If you ARE attempting to curb eventually down to 0mg of nicotine, what are you supposed to do? do you just add 0mg of the same flavor?

Thanks!

I'm pretty new to vaping (15 days now without an analogue) and I use a Vapor King e-cig. My favorite flavor so far for mornings and after dinner is Virginia 36mg. I also like the Parliament and Coffee @ 24mg. I'm trying to find a lower nic juice for afternoons so I ordered a sample pack of 18mg juice from My Freedom Smokes. The flavors are great but the 18mg just doesn't do it for me; it's just too weak for me at this stage of the game.

Best flavor in the sample pack, hands down: Keoke Coffee. I need to order some in 24mg!

Hi all.

Taste is very personal. It is amazing to hear 10 people describe the same juice 10 totally differnt ways! My favorite all day vape is Kent HV/RY424mg mix from NHaler.com and my relaxing vape is Nhalers Banana split.

I was a little touchy about OD'ing too. Believe me, its hard to do. I've tried. I have even vaped some 48mg mixing juice without too much ill effect. If you are vaping and get nauseated or any sypmtom - you've had too much (or you have a sensitivity). Either cut your juice with some 0nic/same flavor, slow down or change formulation. I started with 18 mg and now vape 24mg pretty consistantly. Nhalers HV is only 12 mg and I do fine on it too- do know why tho.

Personally, I found that if you have a juice too low in nicotine you will vape more and crave analogs more. Too high, and you get nauseated, headrush etc. Your body will tell you quite quickly if you need more or less. Its nice to have a few strengths on hand at first....

3. If you ARE attempting to curb eventually down to 0mg of nicotine, what are you supposed to do? do you just add 0mg of the same flavor?

Thats one way, and the way I choose. That way I can control how much nicotine I drop. Some people just move from 24mg, to 18 mg, to 11.... etc of the same flavor.

Thanks!
Welcome aboard!

VapingRulz: I'M TOTALLY LOOKING FOR ALL THE COFFEE FLAVORS!!! Where'd you get the Keoke coffee? I'm lowering my nic but for a new coffee flavor i'm down to try higher nic. ^__^ And is the Parliament from VaporKing? I used to smoke ONLY Parliaments for a good six years until they got too expensive for my habit and would LOVE to try it in a vape form.

AshHole: I agree that flavor is personal taste, I just wanted to see what people like through out the day v.s. chill out vape (tobacco vs dessert maybe?) Bananasplit sounds good and so far i love everything from nhaler so i'll def. try that out. I can't really taste the diff b/w the tobacco flavors much yet... probably from being desensitized by analogs.

I guess it's mostly trial and error, being careful with the nic and being sensitive to what your body is telling you. I think I'm going to go with your way and add flavors with less or 0 nic to control it as you said. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR INPUT! ^_____^

I didnt believe it but, I will say, it took me a week or two before the flavors started becoming prominant. I thought I had a keen sence of taste until I statrted vaping annd stopping the analogs. Even some of the juices I didnt like at first are enjoyable now.

Now not only do I taste the subtleties of the juice now, but food is really tasing different to me...

yoitzo, you haven't lived until you've tasted nhaler's PEAR LUNG juice. You'll think you just took a huge bite out of a ripe juicy pear. It's by far the strongest pre-made fruit flavor I've gotten and sooooo true to the real pear taste. His regular Pear juice is a little weak for my tastes. This is fun, ain't it! :D

Diyflavorshack, if really worried get a higher mg juice and some vg/pg to cut it with.. weakens the flavor a bit but drops the nic. LOVE the mocha and keokee from Dawn.

Nhaler mocha tobacco HV is nice and like smoking an analog while drinking coffee, would really wait till you had a higher volatage mod. Drew also rocks on the flavor side.

SO EXCITED TO TRY THEM ALL!!!

What's Dawn? is that a person? a website?

I have the HV mocha tobacco, the french vanilla and the mint tobacco from nhaler. The coffee ones are SO good!!! I think the mocha tobacco is my favorite so far, i CAN'T WAIT to try it at a higher voltage since i've been told it's MADE for modded vapers.

I got both the Keoke Coffee and Parliament (36mg and 24mg) from My Freedom Smokes. I love the Parliament flavor. (I am also a former Parliament smoker.) It hits the spot.

I try not to vape just ONE as an all day vape... just because I don't want my taste buds to become accustomed to the pointt that I can't "taste" as strong as I did in the beginning...
I am totally hooked on ButterRum! Mmmm! It is so delicious, exactly like a ButterRum lifesaver from back in the day.... (and I finally found a store that sells them again)... So, I vape it quite often, I was a menthol smoker and tend to add menthol to quite a lot of the full tobacco flavors... RY4 I can vape alone or w/ menthol and I vape that when I am just "vaping" and not having time to sit and enjoy, relaxing, etc...
My relaxing vape is also ButterRum or Banana or Coconut... Those are 2 new found flavors that just blew me away... I also love Raspberry from Dawn @ DIYFlavorshack... I mention her specific because I got a raspberry from another vendor that is "medicinal" tasting and I am having a hard time using it even as a few drops added to another flavor to get rid of it... Hers is so good, I was pleasantly surprised!
DK-TAB is one of the tobacco flavors I really like a lot and can actually vape alone- However when I first got it, I wasn't too thrilled with it...
As Ashhole pointed out, this will be so different for so many people and can vary so greatly...
I didn't have concerns about OD-ing, just finding a strength that was not taking me above what I was getting in a cigarette already... I have found 18-24/26 mg is great for me right now... I vape at the same rate that I smoked... If I do happen to pick it up from habit and not from need of a cigarette, I grab a lower strength or 0 mg... I, too, am using e-cigs to decrease nicotine intake so I can eventually quit cigs/nicotine altogether... I have various strengths and I bought like that in the beginning on purpose... Exactly what I do, add 0 mg- 6 mg to same flavor 18-24 mg to bring it down some... see how long before I want to vape again, etc- I have had my e-cigs for a few days less than a month now- I am not decreasing so often yet... I still have ocassional cigs... I am already less than half of what my normal cig intake was though, so I have progressed... I will hope to be rid of analog cigs w/in another month- My husband and I are both vaping so it will become easier as he also stops analogs completely...
My suggestion is to get a strength you "think" you may need based on discussions here- get a strength lower than that and a strength higher than that... & I believe everyone should have 0 mg on hand or at least a PG/VG base and flavor to make up your own... that way you can use to cut, mix, etc- Not necessarily DIY right off the bat but definitely if you have a strength too strong... be able to add a lower strength/0 mg strength to it so you can make it bearable...
I get lengthy, sorry...

So i'm vaping ALL DAY. If i'm not vaping i have the PV in my hand or between my teeth so i DEF. want to make sure i'm puffing on some 0mg - else i'm going to be taking in MORE nic than i did when i was on analogs. LOL. totally counter productive.

i just ordered 120 ml from Tasty Vapor - Home of 0mg and 3 30ml (buy 2 get 1 free until yesterday) of 12mg - the lowest possible. I guess this is part of the learning curve, figuring out how much to vape a day and how much nic is goin in. =____=

i think i've just fallen in love with the diyflavorshack....all those COFFEE FLAVORS!!!!!! *drool* Thanks so much for pointing me in this direction guys!!!!

best of luck to you and your hubbie with quitting them analogs!

I smoked Marlboro Mediums so:

For all day I like: Marlboro / USA Mix 24mg

I'll switch to Virginia, Flu Cured, or Hilton from time to time.

While drinking coffee I'll often use "Coffee" from awesomevapor.com. Its a pretty subtle flavor. I'll have to try the other coffee flavors also.

Marlboro is the strongest flavor with the most kick. Thats what I keep loaded in carts in my PCC.

I started with 18mg but it was too low. 24mg works much better for me. My plan is to order 18mg juice while I still have some 24mg left. This way I can use a few drops of both to get somewhere in-between.

I vape all day as well on 24mg. Even still I don't have the huge craving when I wake up anymore. I used to wake up dying for a smoke. This leads me to believe that 24mg all day is less than my 30 cigarettes were.

Hi all.

Thanks!

1- I vape different flavors throughout the day depending on the time of day. Mornings I vape the Coffee/Cappuccino flavors, sometimes mixed with Chocolate, Caramel or Cinnamon. In the Afternoons I vape the Fruit flavors. Raspberry, Blackberry, Strawberry Kiwi, Pomegranate or a mix of them. Late Afternoon/Dinner I vape the Candy flavors. Chocolate, Caramel, English Toffee, Pralines and Cream. Night/After Dinner I vape Alcohol flavors. Butter Rum, Irish Cream, Kahlua and Cream.
In between flavor vapes I just use a Non-flavor juice. Helps clean the atty and my taste buds of previous flavors.

2- I really wouldnt worry about Nic OD. Worst Ive gotten was a headache, hiccups or just a general "blech" feeling. Usually a nap fixes that.
If you are vaping too high a nic content you will know it pretty quick.
If you normally smoked about a pack of regular cigs a day Id say start with a 24mg juice and cut it down to 18mg. Try that then adjust the nic content up or down depending on how it works for you.

3- As for curbing down to 0 nic, yes. Either cut down your regular juice with 0 nic juice or PG/VG.

I don't think I'm experienced enough to give you an opinion on your first two questions, but I'm sure I can give you a little help to cut down to 0 mg nic.

I'd assume if you have a PCC, once you're ready to quit, if cold turkey doesn't work with you, you could always fill half your carts with 0 nic and the other half with whatever you usually use. Over the course of a week or two, you can gradually decrease the amount of carts with nicotine in them. Of course, it would work better if you use the same or similar flavor during this time.

You'll also have the support of this forum to help you out - a tool you just can't replace. Good luck!
