several of the cheap 18650 USB chargers have step-up converters that dont provide enough electricity for atty's

Is it possible to tap into the battery directly, but still use the charging circuit when you're not using the battery, and what would happen if you were to use it while charging?

Thanks, sorry it's a technical question without a specific product in mind, but those who know what i'm talking about probably have thought about the answer, i just couldn't find it.

If you want to vape at 3.7 volts (since you bypassed the step-up converter), and charge the batt when not vaping, just check this sub-form for charging circuits. Don't use it while charging IMO...you have to have a proper circuit design to ensure that works out. There's no way to comment on a specific circuit without specifics! I'm pretty sure you don't want a situation where charging and vaping are happening at the same instant.
