For dual coils, double the ohms and use that for your value on the chart. So you'd be going by 3.6 ohms on the chart. Start at the low end of the optimal range and work your way up until you find your sweet spot. To make things more comfusing, double the watt value on the chart.

I vape 1.8 ohm dual coils at 9W or 4.2V

Forget about single / dual / triple coils etc ..... After installing your coil / coils, check the ohms with a multimeter (or whatever your using) and use those ohms to determine how much power you want to supply.

If you were happy with 12 watts before, use whatever voltage it takes to make 12 watts on your new coil arrangement (based on the total ohms of your new coil / coils setup installed in your atomizer and verified with an ohmmeter).

Make sense?

Here is the calculator to determine the power you need ..... http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_law_calculator.php

Case in point ...

You used to have a 1.6 ohm single coil that gave the best vape with 10.5 watts of power (to get 10.5 watts of power, you needed to supply it with 4.1v)

Now you want to make a dual coil. Make your new dual coils so that it will still show 1.6 ohms on your multimeter. Then feed it the same 10.5 watts as you used before. That will still be 4.1v if the ohms of your dual coils indicates 1.6 ohms.
