Not familiar, but I did a bit of research... because, lets face it, I'm probably better at reading and figuring out this stuff than you are. ;-)

You'd need an 808 to 510, or 808 to eGo non-sealed adapter to use any of the popular clearo/glassomizer tanks like the Protank, Vivi Nova or iClear. As these automatic batteries are quite small at 200-280mAh... don't count on them lasting more than a few hundred short draws and probably less.

Is there a reason you want to use a cig-a-like type system? I mean, the Halo system isn't bad as far as that sort of thing goes, but I have to wonder what your long term plan is.

I don't know anything about the Halo ecigs. I looked at their site quickly to see if they are 510 or ego threaded. If they are then can use most any tank out there. I would suggest the Kanger Evods or Protanks.
That way you can replace the heads for a reasonable price. I would recommend ordering replacement heads right off the bat. That way you can keep yourself going while you learn all the overwhelming stuff out there.

You simply need to have backups for everything you own. Nothing worse that experiencing a break down.

Good luck & sorry I couldn't be more specific on the Halo products.

BTW, I'm sure the Halo tanks/products will work but might not be the best choice for the long haul. They do seem rather inexpensive but you might not be maximizing your experience. The Halo tanks they sell might only last a week or two. It depends on what kind of eliquid you decide to use. Plus, how much you use it, etc determines the life of the device.

Do yourself a favor & research everything you can before you buy. You might want to upgrade to a better system. Blanks at $8 a piece is a complete rip off & may be telling you about their products in general.

Edit: Looks like the G6 might be 808 threaded. This severely limits your options so consider this before you make any decisions.

The Halo G6 is a 'cig-a-like' that is 510 threaded. This means technically you can use any accessory that is 510 threaded. Although, you should look for tanks that are smaller, so the tank is not bigger than the battery.

I believe the Halo G6 is actually KR808 threaded, not 510. I don't have personal knowledge of this, but several posts confirm it; here's the most recent.

In particular I'm looking at the Halo G6, and wondering if the minitanks work, or if I should just plan on buying blanks and refilling with eliquid. Blanks seem rather expensive at $8 apiece?

Thanks!

ps I'll go searching for a faq, these seem rather basic questions!

A mini tank for $8 is refillable and should easily pay for itself over prefilled cartomisers, unless you can top up the cartomizers with liquid a good few times before they give up.

Like all 808 stuff, options are limited.

I bought a Halo g6 starter kit 4 weeks ago, I used mini tanks & loved them. They were easy to clean & refill, shortest time 1lasted was 3 days & rest full 2 weeks or more. My problem was not a satisfying enough Vape, I now use an ego c twist & much prefer it. I thought size was an issue at first,(that's what she said) but evidently not. I love my ego & have plans to upgrade to a vamo, evic, or Sid soon. Now if only I could decide which. Anyway point being my g6 with mini tanks was great but now I wish I had just started with an ego twist & not kinda wasted the 70 bucks spent on halo supplies that I only used for about 2 weeks.

Err... it is not. Halo is kr808D-1 threaded.

If you want a Vamo, get the stainless steel version. Much sturdier. I also like my stainless Sigelei Zmax mini--it comes with dual 510/eGo threading, VW and nice OLED display! :)

Well if Halo g6 is 808 threaded like everybody is saying then there is nothing better than LV2 ex blanks from v2 cigs...looks like a smaller version of tank systems and vapes very well...

Try these, I have used them on cig-a-likes. KR808D-1 blank clearomizers - package of 5 or these e-Smart clearomizers - package of 5. You don't need an adapter, they were made for the stick batteries. Good luck & VAPE ON:vapor:

I was about to post this. The Kanger 808 E-Smart clearomizers are great for KR808 stick batteries (Halo's). Only a bit longer and larger in diameter than the Halo mini-tanks, but perform noticeably better and still discreet and good looking on the Halo G6 battery (which, as mentioned, are KR808d-1, not 510.).

Personally I bought them from LiteCigUSA. Oh, and pick up a manual 808 battery if you don't have one. Automatic batteries stink.
