I've been switching between about four flavors of carts since yesterday. the first cart, the one I've probably used the most, has started to develop a burning aftertaste, but its still pumping a lot of vapor. should I change it? with my volcano, when a cart was done, I could tell by the lack of vapor, not by any change in taste. (they always kind of tasted bad).
thanks for your help.

That's exactly what it means. Out of curiosity, I vaped a cartridge a few drags past the "taste change" to see if the vapor production would drop, but it never did. It just kept tasting worse and worse. As far as I'm concerned, at the first hint of that change in taste, swap cartos. That way if it sits around for a while before you refill it, the atomizer inside the cart isn't completely dry.

Once they taste burnt is the cart ruined or can you refill it and be ok?

In my experience, it depends on how burnt it gets. That's the other reason to switch as soon as the taste changes.

On a side note, there are some posts around here about washing out the cartos, that may help if it gets too burnt?

I initially used an ice pick which worked fine, but now I use a set of surgical tweezers as it has multiple uses with e-cigs. I read a post some place about a crochet needle of a particular size?

The cap seems like it will break before it will come off on the first time, but pry gently and rotate as you go. You may even here a slight pop or crack, but I have yet to break one. After that first time, they come off pretty easy with your finger nail.

As far as "effing" up the taste, I either add complimentary flavors, coffee/cap cuban/fp, or I rinse and dry for a unique flavor.

Oh, and do follow the more detailed instructions on the forum and not my small description. Good luck to you.

I've found a corkscrew works best for me. You just need to make sure you get the tip of the corkscrew all the way out to the edge, so it can catch the reinforced area of the cap, otherwise its easy to tear out the center of the cap, leaving the reinforced ring in the cart.

My cartos always taste bad before they drop in vapor, when they taste burnt, I top it off, I haven't burned one dead yet (crosses fingers)

The only mixing I've done is adding menthol to clove, and pb cup to m'boro. I've only topped them off though, so the new juice is probably 10-15%. They came out nice:)
