Extra top tubes to stack 18650's.

2x 18350's nothing special needed because that would be just a bit longer then one 18650.

Kick works great but it doesn't play well with the fuse upgrade if you have it. If you want to use a 18650 plus a kick it's also good to get an extra top tube. 18500 + a kick fits fine. 18650 + AW IMR + Kick barely fits if you opt to remove the spring.

With a kicked 18650 I find I like the look of using an extra top tube better then having the telescope all the way extended but that's a personal preference.

Ok then you have a few options, my iphone is charging so no pictures but:

I use AW IMR's they are a bit(few mm's) shorter then some other batteries so I can ONLY tell you how it will work with them.

18650 + a kick:
1) You can use a stock GGTS and have the telescope all the way extended with the spring removed from bottom post. You will have the first SS thread ridge showing on both top and bottom. It's not the thread itself just the first polished SS ridge and it looks pretty natural.
2)2 top tube total(you would buy 1 extra) This looks better to me. Two total top tubes and the Telescope is barely showing with a spring still installed. Can't quite get it not to show with the spring removed.

2 18650 no Kick:
1) 3 top tube total(you would have to buy 2) This barely works with the spring still installed. I didn't try to take out the spring but you need to leave a few thread showing and telescope all the way extended. I don't like it.
2) 4 top tube(you would need to buy 3) Works well, only a bit of telescope showing with the the spring still installed.

If you remove the spring does ggts still work?
If it does why is the spring needed?
Do you have to put something else to replace the spring

If you use it without the spring just be extra careful to not screw too tight. The spring gives you some play when tightening. TS works without the spring
