Question, Need Help.

It looks like this is the only place I can create a thread even after my 5 posts. I just have a quick question.

After thinking vapor cigs were a good alternative to the dangers of smoking, I was quickly lured in by the beauty of the Blu brand. The sleek case and size of the e-cig got me to purchase the starter kit.

After reading some after full understanding I want to vape over smoke, I started seeing Blu bashed a bit. But here is my dilemma--I actually like my blu cig. The only thing is I noticed my starter kit doesn't have as much as a throat kick as the disposable and found out that's because the disposable Blu contained 24mg of nicotine. After finding out I purchased the Magic Mist blu compatible cartos.

Was this a good move to get 24mg and a good throat kick? I came from Newports so maybe Blu will never give me the throat kick I seek and I should move to a new brand? But I really like the way the Blu works and its simplicity. I really don't feel like juicing my own carts and I work at a desk with outlets so charging the pack isn't an issue.

Maybe there are cartos for the Blu that make the experience what I need? Maybe Magic Mists is it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't have any answers for you on the Magic Mists as I never made it that far. I started with a Blu myself and within a week I had bought a 4/5/6 mod and then a week later I got my Vamo V2. I have heard a lot of good things about the eGo stuff and that is what my wife has right now. She loves it. For me the Vamo was by far my best move. I couldn't get the Blu to work for me very well and I have a brick and mortar ecig store in my town so I went to them for help. They were the ones that got me onto mods. And I am so happy they did. Whatever you do, don't give up! Quitting the analogs and moving to vaping was the best decision I ever made. Wish I would have done it a long time ago. Good luck in your search!

My friend was having this same problem after he quit smoking - just not getting the hit he wanted. We both moved to the Egos with the juices and he has so many different juices with different levels of nicotine in it, I haven't heard him complain about it since. I dont know much about the Blus, so I am sorry I can not be much of help there. Anyway, Keep trying new things if that one isnt meeting your needs, as long as you stay away from those cancer sticks!

Blu is actually probably one of the better "cig-a-like" brands on the market. I think they exclusively use Johnson Creek juices which are highly reputed. I also believe their juice is 100% VG which will limit the throat hit for you. Try to find some juice and/or compatible carts that use a higher PG blend and see how that works for you.

I heard that more nicotine causes more throat hit hence why blu disposables gave me a nice throat hit because it was 24mg. Blu cartos only come max 16. Which is why I bought the magic mists. Is this true?

However, I noticed some flavors hit harder than others. I'm gunna pick up a mango on my way home. See if that helps.

Nicotine by itself (I haven't tried above 24mg so I could be talking through my hat) won't get you much more throat hit. Blu uses all VG juice in its cartos. A mix of PG/VG might help meet your expectations. Another vendor to try is:

I was a 2 PPD Menthol smoker so I needed the 22/24mg ejuice to get by. I still use Blu cartos because I like the flavor but I mix others in like Jet (http://www.jetcigs.com/); they are all VG as well.

I asked them why they don't sell prefilled at 24mg since they clearly have it at least in Classic Tabacco (Menthol disposable is 18 I think). They replied the cartos wouldn't fit. That's it; that's all the explanation I got.

Do you have any affiliation with that "themagicmist" vendor?

As far as cig-a-likes and TH are concerned, try fillable cartos and shop around for juice. Plenty of people use cig-a-likes for vaping. Many of us that use "big battery mods" still keep a cig-a-like around.

Check out different vendors, and their juices in differing PG/VG/MG levels. Also, have backups.

Everyone has preferences. If you like the Blu and can find refills that satisfy you, go with it. I was once there with 510 cig-a-likes.
Eventually you may get tired of spending so much for refills or just want to upgrade for better performance.

You would be surprised how simple topping a clearomizer tank and Vaping for hours can be. At a much lower cost also.

I really can't help with your question but I wanted to comment on this part. If Blu works for you and you are happy and it is getting you off of the stink sticks with it then that is the important thing.

If it works then there is nothing to bash.

Thanks for the replies again.

I have no affiliation with anyone. Just a newbie who bought those because I searched google for blu cig refills with more throat hit. Those always came up. They were $8 for a pack of 5 menthol so I thought the price decrease was nice.

I probably will get over the new vase euphoria and want to try some of the upgrades but it looks like I have a lot of reading to do. Some of the stuff you all are saying sounds foreign to me, lol.

However, I might find that the mists work well since they are supposed to cape more and have more nicotine, 24mg. I also think the nicotine level does give more throat hit because my blu disposable regular gave a nice throat hit where the menthol felt weak. And now I am reading how the menthol has lower nic levels. It makes sense.

I just love how a new carto vapes so much but also want flavor variety. I am going to start looking into the juicing stuff so I can get a nice vape AND flavor variety.

Other than that, can anyone recommend a highly rated system that gives great throat hit and vape? Wouldn't mind putting something on my to-buy list.
