Hey guys so I run a style of mojo clone mod, not sure exactly which atty i have as i got it from a friend. But my main question here is, why do some of my friends with cheaper mods but the exact same builds blow bigger clouds than I do? My one friend went super cheap with his setup. $50 mod, $15 atty. We have the same battery, efest imr 18650 2500mah 35A. We run the same types of builds, just the standard dual coil $8 build that our store does for us. We both drip same flavor in 6mg. Only differences are our mods and my airflow holes are drilled out. But his clouds are so much larger and thicker than mine. I love flavor dont get me wrong, but a large part of the fun for me and my friends is blowing clouds and I just feel like my setup is lacking in that aspect. Any tips? I just got a rebuild yesterday and my battery is freshly charged so those 2 possibilities are out.

Thanks, Steve

If you have the same build, but different attys. I am going to assume its the atty. But you really need to know what atty you have, what resistance the coils are etc. Mods will each have a different voltage drop but that will not really be a much noticeable effect unless the drop is huge. So, take pics of your atty or tell us what it is.

Wick type and style, air flow, coil placement in the air flow, voltage sag, drip tip, lungs, etc. all play a part in producing vapor. Just the way you take a hit will effect the amount of vapor.

Why do I have the strange "here we go again" feeling in this thread. LOL

Dude, You still have neglected to try and help us help you. If you dont know what atty you have take some pics and post it and we will tell you. But logic tells me if you have the same build, same resistance, almost equivalent wicking, (this will almost never be the exact same), and the only difference is mod and atty, It is probably your atty. which is why your friend ditched it on you and bought himself a better cloud producing atty.

Looks like a Helios. Not the best for clouds, but its doable. Coil placement is critical. Get a Zenith or a TOBH or a 454 Big Block. And learn to build yourself, that way you have a better idea of what needs tweaking. The Zenith isn't a cloud chasers dream, but it's really easy to build and produces well when set up right.

I do have a brand new unopened caterpillar rda atty just sitting in my room without a build. Would that be better to use than the Helios?
It is very possible. The helios is a nice rda dont get me wrong. Very easy to build on. The problem I think it really has with regards to vapor production is the fact that only has air holes on one side of the atty. While you can build duals in that thing all day, you really arent getting any air to the other opposite side coils. Less air on subohm dual builds will be less vapor. At least with the caterpillar you have airflow on both sides of the atty to hit both coils. They may need to be modified depending on how low the build is because the vape may get pretty hot.

Zeniths are pretty darn good. I am a huge tobh fan. Indulgence mutation x will do you right. But dont bother with getting new attys and think your just gonna be able to blow those clouds. You def need to learn how to build and wick your own coils. Get you some 26 gauge kanthal, get an ohm reader. Learn ohms law. Watch some coil building tutorials and start there.

+1! Someone finally mentioned this :) Nice... I love my Mutation X. Granted, I'm not winning any competitions, but I can get a cloud thick enough to satisfy myself without burning my hand up - and hey, while I'm at it, many thanks to the people on this forum for helping me learn! Helpful bunch here.

+1 :) Playing with coil configurations is fun. I've had a lot of fun, wasted a lot of wire, and I'm still no expert - but a multimeter is your FRIEND. :vapor:

the helios has airholes on both sides, at least on mine. always has.
Well thats a good thing because I think most clones only come with airholes on one side. So you might have an authentic. without knowing the actual resistance, the build how and what its wicked with. It is hard to say what is going on. Do you all vape the same pg/vg ratio juice?
