Question on filling my DSE-901 carts

Im having a bit if a problem.

i ordered some extra cartridges, but they are all empty, im not exactly sure what to put in them for stuffing.

The ones that came pre filled looked like they are filled with cotton, but i'd like to make sure before i use that (dont wanna damage my atomizers)

So, what do i use for stuffing?

I did some searching and im sorry if this has already been posted and answered somewhere

The carts can be filled with several things many (including myself) use Fluval filter material.
It is made for fish tank filters, white fiberous material that can be cut in small pieces to fit your cart.
There is also a Blue Foam mod using a blue foam material also for fish tank filters.
You can find both at most pet stores etc.. Check the stickies at the start of this forum for lots of great info.

Where I live some Walmarts have aquarium stuff and others don't. But it certainly worth a try. I have also heard of some using Polyfill sold in the sewing and fabric section for stuffing pillows and such. I have not personally tried but it would probably work O.K.

Also what are the advantages and disadvantages to having LESS or MORE stuffing in it?

Too little won't hold much juice.. Too much tends to affect the draw making it harder and also can stick to the atty and burn. Very nasty taste and probably not good for you either. Try to match size and density of the prefilled and you should be good.

Polyfill is more likely to get a nasty burny taste if too dry. And it's also harder (I think) to get the right amount and density since it has to be a bit fluffy to let the juice wick.

I like the blue foam and you can buy inexpensive precut pieces for 901/510 carts at StrictlyEjuice.com, Flavor Shop! or you could go right to trying to cut your own out of Marineland Rite-Size U Foam Sleeve from the aquarium department of Petsmart.

Disclaimer - I have not used the precut pieces as is so I know nothing about their fit. I cut them down for a smaller cart PV I have until my Petsmart had the Rite-size U stuff back in stock.
