Question on nic level

So I've been vaping at 12 mg for a while now. Started at 18 mg but dropped to the 12 after a couple of months. I've been using pro tanks and I clears with stock coils. I got a provari a month or so ago and then decided I wanted to try rbas. I have a couple of things on order now: a sophia which will probably take a little while to get here and an octopus for dripping and a drunker tank. I figured the octopus and drunker were inexpensive and sounded fairly beginner friendly. Plus I bought a couple of premades for each one for me to start with.

Ive noticed that a lot of people mention needing to step down to 6 mg when using rbas. I'm wanting to place an order for frenilla, razcup, and maybe some more radioactive. I'm mostly wondering abt what nic level I should get the frenilla in. I originally planned to order at least 100 ml of frenilla. Still hoping I can do that but Clark is not leaving me much cushion with all these wonderful limited run options. I vaped my first order of frenilla pretty quickly and only have a few drops of it left. I want to savor my next order and try to keep it around until the next batch comes out. Should I consider getting it in 6 mg instead of 12? Did most people here step down in nic level when moving to rbas?

I started at 24 then stepped down to 18 after a few months. Then recently since I've gotten into rebuilding I have stepped down to 12mg. With a more efficient way of vaping your getting more out of the liquid. So more flavor is a definite and along with that you get more nicotine as well. You would Probaly enjoy all the new rba's and rda's if you were to step down. That was the advice I received when I got into the kayfun and z atty pro along with a dripper and it's worked out very well got me.

I've noticed flavor is alot better on 6 and 12 then lets say 18 24. Not saying there is no flavor on the higher nic, but all that nicotine does cut in the flavor and gives a gnarly throat hit. RDA's your getting so much nicotine and vapor delivered anything higher than 12 really is kind of beating a dead horse imo. Trust me when I say youll be satisifed on 6 or 12 blowing huge ... clouds on a proper set up. Take this from a guy who used to drip on 24mg for months. I was nuts and now am at 6 and couldnt imagine going back to that lol.

If you were planning to get 100 ml. you could order 50' @ 12 mg and the other 50' @ 6 mg. Mix 1/2 of each to get to 9 mg and you can "step" your way down. Just did that with my CLS/CB order to make my Nak' mix.

Here is the deal, on a RBA or RDA you will use more juice unless you can modify your vaping.

Even the same number of draws will expend more juice, that's where you get loads more flavor.

If your nicotine level stays the same you will notice the nic buzz much sooner.

6mg/ml is fine if you vape quite a bit, 9 or 12 might be fine if you vape just on breaks or more off and on throughout the day. 50 of 12 and 50 of 6 could land you with a 30ml bottle each of 12, 9, and 6mg/ml with enough left over to fill a couple times from the big 50ml bottles. That's a good way to go in my opinion.

You can always vape the higher nic stuff when you feel the need.

You also won't have any difficulty finding a swap or buyer for any left over 12mg frenilla. Unless merbear buys it all!

I vaped 12 mg for the longest time. When I began using RBA's I dropped to 6mg. I find for me anyway it's plenty. I do definitely chain vape. Experiment with different levels, you'll find what works best for you. Good luck!

Frenilla is going to perform much better in a dripper as compared to protanks and iclears - if you are doing 12mg in a protank, 6mg in a dripper is a good call. The efficiency of the device is much improve, AND - the taste is better in 6mg... to me, it's a no brainer.

The Octopus is a bit of a challenge - you might consider blocking the stock air intake with a toothpick and drilling a nice sized air intake in the side of that bad boy - vapes much better. With the stock air intake, it's a leaky SOB.

Thanks for all of your replies! I got my octopus in yesterday and I'm trying it this morning. Definitely going to try the 6 mg. I pretty much chain vape at work all day and the 12 mg Hummingbird in the octopus is going to my head!

12mg in a dripper will do that.
