question on shipping on orders over 40?

I get emails saying
Orders of $40+ (subtotal after coupons) qualify for free Priority Mail or orders under 40 can be upgraded to priority for additional cost.
Every order over 40.00 I’ve been charged 4.00 for priority shipping.
Why are they advertising free priority shipping for orders over 40 after coupons and still charging 4.00 for a flat rate?

I can see where that’s a bit confusing. Here’s how it works:

Shipping is always a flat rate of $4 and that’s for regular USPS first class package shipping.

For orders under $50, HHV offers an upgrade to USPS priority shipping for $2.50.

For orders over $50, that upgrade to priority shipping is automatic and free (no $2.50 additional cost).

The email you received that says $40 is older information. We will need to update that.
