Some devices have a battery icon, while others have a percentage showing, others have bars. I have been plugging in or pulling battery out, for recharging when it's about half way down. But I wasn't sure if that it really half the battery life, or just half way before battery gets to 3.7 volts, which is the recommended point at which to recharge. If the bars go to zero, is battery dead or is battery at 3.7 ? I have a DMM, so I guess I can check it myself lol... but just wondered what is typical of our devices.

Thanks, Deb

The battery indicator isn't always linear, that will vary between mods, batteries, etc. Most, but not all regulated mods are set to cut off somewhere in the low 3s, usually 3.2 - 3.4 volt range. 3.7 is nominal voltage for the battery, while it may minimally extend the overall lifespan of the battery to charge at 3.7 you're not getting full use of the batteries cycle, not a good trade off imo. They can safely be cycled down in the low 3s.
