How's the weather down there? I think everything north of about dothan AL or columbus GA is "snowpocalypse." which I wouldn't mind, if only the idiot municipal authorities had the proper equipment to deal with it! AAAAAUGHHHHH!!!

I've been following the news regarding the weather in the South. We (up here in Chicago) can't understand how 2" of snow can cripple the region. I suppose not having the proper equipment to deal with the snow makes all the difference.

Yep, that's it exactly -- the only plows/salt trucks are on the interstates; all the other roads become impassable, so folks just get out and leave their cars, so then they're REALLY impassable.

And actually, it wasn't even snow, this time -- 3 inches, 90% sleet, 10% rain/snow mix that then froze. Just a huge mess! Today it's 45 degrees, dripping so much it sounds like it's raining! And the roads are clearing up, so I guess everyone gets to go to work tomorrow. Thank god!
