Questions About AVS

I just ordered a SSGGTS from Bruce.

I had a guy offer an AVS in trade. He didn't mention what revision it was and I don't think he knows for sure.

What are the most distinguishable characteristics of each. What are drawbacks of the older ones? Will they all fit my late model TS?

all AVS will fit the GGTS except rev1 GGTS which I believe does not have a collection tank. if you have a rev1 GGTS then you need to get a collection tank to use an AVS on it.

The latest version 2 is threaded for 510 atomizers. I believe the original was 901.

That's correct, so if you buy something on the classifieds, make sure to ask. AVS1 has 901 atty connection and AVS2 has 510 atty. But ofcourse its interchangeable so you can also have an AVS1 with a 510 atty connection.

okay, so the collector tank is normally part of the AVS or the GGTS?

also all older AVS are made out of aluminum?

You have the latest version so AVS will fit normally JD, no problem

All AVS fits on all GGTS. Avs can take 510 and 901 connectors. I mean its own connectors buddy

Cool, I made a deal with tpavur for an AFS, which is what I wanted anyways for another mod. I'll throw the IAtty on GGTS when it gets here and wait to get UFS when it is available retail.

I am relatively new to GG products and I gotta tell you those abbreviations can be a bit confusing.

He is going to trade me an iAtty for it, now I will have 3 iAttys, I can't bare to go without the iAtty so in the even something happens I will always have a back up.

If that is an AFSv3 it is most likely nickel plated. At least mine is.
