AVS 510 Assembly

1. Loosen the posative pin from the 510 connector and turn down the juice controll ring all the way so the gaps ae showing.

2. Put the 510 atomizer extender on the atty.

3. Next put on the 510 atomizer firmly.

4.Tighten the posative pin back up to make connection with the atomizer and screw the juice controll ring all the way back up so the juice gaps are covered. Then turn it back down maybe 1/8 of a turn

5. Put the atomizer and connector on the tank.

6. Thread the tank onto the ggts and close the air controll completely.

7. Fill the tank with juice.

8. Put on the tank cap.

9. Put on the tank cap o-ring.

10. Put on the o-ring top cap.

11. Put on the mouthpiece. (some people have found completely tightening then backing off 1/4 turn helps)

Okay, had the atty flood big time today and juice went to the collector tank. So I did everything you listed except two things I didn't crack open the juice flow control (closed) and I don't have a 510 atomizer extender for the atty. Is that important? and if so where do I get one?

Thanks,
Gary

yes. The 510 connector came with the atty extender and untill more stock arrives that is the only way to get one (buying a 510 adapter from COV) The atty extender should put the top of your atomizer above the tank cap which the o-ring thn goes around without it 2 things happen.
1 because your atty doesn't stick up high enough juice can pour down in it freely.
2 the o-ring on the atomizer creates a seal which stops the juice from just flowing throug.

Now xl atomizers may not need the extender but standard length does.

Edited to add cartos do not need the atty extender either and because they are longer work quite well if you don't mind the no mouthpiece look (you use a drip tip)

Probably. I will admit to being a little confused because like I said the atty extender came with the AVS V2 and if you have a V1 and someone bought the 510 adapter it also should have came with the atty extender so it must have gotten lost.

As for cartos no punch is needed it would fill the same way a normal atty fills through the bottom. The carto method is much more forgiving as well but like I said the downside is that you have to use your own drip tip and IMHO it doesn't quite look as good. I was able to cut a standard lenght Boge carto down to the filling and use the AVS mouthpiece but it was a PITA (cutting right at the filling)
Basically to use a carto you use the same setup method but the last step of adding the mouthpiece would be add a drip tip. If there is any confusion let me know and I will take pics with a carto.

SAX - until you can get an atty extender, I am wondering if a piece of a drinking straw cut to the right length might hold you over? As long as the atty is not getting too hot, it may work temporarily.

I don't think that will work. Whatever you use has to be rigid enough for the top o-ring to seal around. Also it wou;ld be very hard to get it air right around the atty. If you don't have a atty extender I would recommend either cartos untill they are in stock or xl atomizers.

....or create the extender using a delrin drip tip and carto tube.
