Hi, today I received my Cloupor dna 30 in the mail. I really like it and it works great plus it's a pretty green color :)

So when I seen the box I noticed that it wasn't in a black box like most I've seen on YouTube, mine came in a white box with some information on the front. Inside the box was the dna 30 clone and some paper books or whatever. Also included was a USB cable but no screwdriver at all. While playing around feeling the buttons I hit the On/fire button and it came on, so installed was a battery already - I thought this was strange as I thought you had to supply your own battery. It is a Sony 18650 VT4 installed. So now I was interested in the inside guts of the box and I see the holographic stickers inside say Hana Modz inside and the cover over the wires is black. When powering on the device or the first click it read "Evolv dna"

So because it reads Evolv DNA does this mean it has an authentic DNA 30 chip?

This DNA 30 has the fixed 510 pin and what not so it's not the screwed up version. It reads the ohms correctly and watts run good.

Here is where I bought mine.

https://www.aspenvalleyvapes.com/shop/box-mods/cloupor-cana-mod-dna-30-box-mod/

I called about the battery and the guy of the shop said they include a battery when they ship them out.

No just because the chip says "Evolv" when it first boots up does NOT mean it's a genuine chip. They originally made these with the Hana Modz logo as well but removed it. If you go to Rip Trippers channel on youtube he has a video showing the newer version without the logo booting up and it now does NOT have the "Evolv" logo when it boots. (I had to edit this because when I originally posted it I was just going by memory which was WRONG lol). Anyway the ones Cloupor is selling now no longer says "Evolv." But I am pretty sure he has a video where he shows it and says Cloupor is getting there but not all the way there with removing the logos and trademarks for Hana Modz & for Evolv. He did 3 of them I believe so it is a little confusing.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! Well sorta, it still a pretty decent chip from what I've heard. I do hope mine comes with a battery in it too! At that price point that is a steal! I ordered a VTC5 with mine and its sitting on my desk at home so I'll know is aproximately 2 hours and 12 minutes, heh. (How long I have left at work plus drive time.)

Can't wait!

Firstly the Cloupor DNA30 doesn't come with batteries pre-installed, and the DNA30 clone chip doesn't read evolv on the Cloupor either. The Cloupor also comes in a black box. So you were either intentionally, or possibly accidentally sold a fake Cloupor DNA30 .. I say accidentally because depending on the supplier the vendor used for their Cana Mod inventory, they "may" have been sold non-Cloupor's without their knowledge. Some Chinese suppliers will, without hesitation change manufacturers on a vendor without notice. And unless the vendor checks every single piece of stock prior to sale, they may not be aware.

The worst case scenario is that you were intentionally mislead by the vendor that you purchased from because there do exist vendors who purposely lie about branding to make a sale. Being that the Cloupor DNA30 is the most desirable, and well regarded Hana clone, this type of thing happens all the time. Of course only the vendors know for sure which scenario applies to this situation.

Here is a link to a written review of the Cloupor DNA30 Hana Modz Clone Review

..............

I think to the workers in a chinese factory, the scribble "Evolv DNA" is just hyroglyphics to them; it may as well say "Press red button", or "Positive".
They don't try to understand what it means or translate it into chinese, their job is just to duplicate the thing.

ya ya ya same ting same ting

So I've noticed some people talk about their Cloupor or DNA 30 doesn't change from red to green when fully charged. Well I left mine plugged in this evening because the battery was only % 25 charged and a couple hours later I'm lit up "GREEN" :) fully charged. Just thought I'd share this :)

I still haven't experienced any wattage jumps or anything bad, knock on wood

I'll keep everyone up to date, so far so good :)

You didn't get a Cloupor , there are a lot of DNA 30 clones on the market from a variety of manufacturers , some better than others.

I've kind of started thinking this as well, just praying it's a good one. Next paycheck I might dish out the $50 for the legit chip from Evolv and rock it real. I actually might buy two chips and build my own. One for home and for out and about.

I just received my Cloupor 30 Watt DNA 30 Clone from www.wetvapes.com great price. And mine came with a battery! Of course that's only because I ordered one  When I opened it I did not have a battery installed, bummer. I'm jealous heh.

I don't see anything inside or out that refers to Hana Modz, thankfully. It also does not say Evolv when it starts up. Interestingly, the written sheet of instructions I received does not refer to Cloupor by name any where within the page. It does consistently call the device either the "DNA" or the DNA30D." I think I would have preferred they call it by it own name. But then I don't know if the term DNA30 is a proper name or a generic term. Personally if it were my company I'd consider it a proper name and try to make my own.

Mine had nothing indicating Cloupor

But... along with some of the differences I listed above I also have noticed my 510 area is brass and the pin is small and not like the troubled big pins I've seen others have.

In the link provided below you'll see the person who posted received the DNA 30 in the same box and papers I did. His 510 connector/pin is brass and small, my insides are the same as well. Only difference is his has the fake Hana logo on the outside. Stating they appear to be better than Cloupor. This is definitely the same one I'm pretty sure being the packaging is the same, 510 the same and innards.

More Hana Modz styled devices for your perusal (scrutiny): FastTech Forums

Read somewhere that the green ones having the real dna 30 chip. Fact is I guess no one can say it's "not" possible without seeing the chip inside. I'm thinking of breaking mine open.
