1) If you're having shortness of breath, I would strongly suggest seeing a doctor to make sure there isn't something serious going on! Don't neglect your health!
2) What is about vaping that isn't satisfying? Lack of throat hit? Warmth of the vapor?
3) Are you still smoking in addition to vaping? Are you drinking enough water? What PG/VG mix are you using?
4) Have you tried using a 50/50 mix?

I'm in Memphis & I feel short of breath right now, I believe it's allergies (hay fever, etc) aggravated by 1)weather changes like rain, no rain, wind, no wind or 2)something new & different just began blooming or 3)I forgot to take my zyrtec last night. I also have the "frog". I've been vaping since June 8, Apollos, my Joye Ego is arriving tomorrow & I'm so excited I can't stand it.
Have you tried different PVs/juices?

Right now I am using 808 with carto's. Have a mod on order. Using a DIY mixture that is 50/50. Was using 80/20 blend but got the frog and short of breath. When trying a 20/80 blend chest hurt and got a bad case of heart burn. Just ordered some samples from EC Blends in 50/50 and 80/20 to see if I do any better. Shortness of breath only started after I quit smoking (go figure). Unemployment and no insurance leads to no doctors at the time sorry to say. I remind myself of someone with COPD which I assume is possible but why did it happen only after I quit smoking? I do need to drink more water. Hadnt thought of that. I drink a lot of coffee and flavored water. I dont know exactly what isnt satisfying about vaping. I can be vaping and still want something. I did take a hit of an analog not to long ago and coughed myself silly so I am probably not going to start that up again but I can see someone smoking and start wishing I had one of those. I hadnt considered allergies since as far as I know I didnt have any before except for some perfumes, scents, etc stuffs me up and makes me cough. That started within the past few years. Lord getting old is hard on a person.

Coffee and cinnamon could be the culprits of your heartburn, whether they're vaped or cosumed in drinks and food. Since vaping is no longer satisfying maybe you should quit. There's a section on ECF for alternatives. Maybe Snus or nic gum? Hope you're feeling better soon.
Could be nic is too high, or PG does loosen up all the nasty stuff in your lungs, could be getting ready to get rid of it. About two months vaping my breath started to shorten, then the coughing started and lasted about two weeks, man did I get a bunch of stuff out. Doing fine now, still you may want to see you doctor.
I've had the "frog in throat " feeling when I am dehydrated, and coffee and vaping seem to be the culprits... drink more water and see if that helps.. the coughing and shortness of breath could be all the junk breaking free in your lungs...You said a dr isn't an option because of your situation , but your health comes first.. try maybe cutting out vaping for a day or 2
Shortness of breath (SOB) is seeming to come up frequently. Personally I think Bardic offers best info. He suggests that its just part of quitting process - stick it out a while longer - and things will improve. You mention an awfully lot of negatives for you. You may want to consider some other quitting option. The pharm type - gum, patches, lozenges, etc. or perhaps snus. I've never tried snus but read much about it on this forum. Seems to help many on bad e-cig days.

2) I exercise tons, am on a high protein diet and pound coffee and vape so I can tell you that you really need to be drinking alot of water just from vaping/coffee. I mean alot; or you will get some stomach problems/heartburn etc.
3) Is your nic level too low? Cause when mine drops I think of cigarettes.
4) Are you using quality juice and do you trust the qc/ingredients? Maybe a bad shipment? Less nic in the juice? Also, people can develop allergies to the flavors.
