All,

First of all, I would like to introduce myself to the forum. I used to be a LOGIC e-cig smoker on/off mixed with analogs. I thought LOGIC was amazing until I finally got myself a v2 starter kit. I was hooked on this, especially the menthol and sahara flavors. Now that I have pledged to quit analogs for good, I'm starting to get confused on how to upgrade my e-cig experience and was hoping members could chime in with their experience and thoughts.

From my understanding, a v2 is a KR808 with a 4.2 voltage. I've been able to get quality puffs and good throat hits on this device. What is a better device that would deliver more vapor, better throat hits, longer battery life, and doesn't break easily? Finally, because I am still a n00b, i am hoping that this new device would be compatible with v2 cartos (especially since I just bought 40) heh...

Also - I've noticed that I can go through a carto in half a day. Is this normal? Do v2 cartos have a pretty short life? Are there better, longer lasting cartos out there? Thoughts?

I've also read that the member preference is an eGo. I saw that this is a 3.7 voltage. Wouldn't this actually be a step down from the v2 KR808?

Anyhow, thanks for educating me on these things. I am really glad I found this forum and appreciate any help you can give!!!

A couple things about V2s claims. First, V2 batteries are not 4.2 V. They are 3.7. Their 4.2V claim isn't entirely true. Right off the charger, they will meter out at 4.2 V. So will any other nominal 3.7V battery. V2 batteries will hold at 4.2V for approximately 30% of their use, but will drop to 3.7V after that. Better than some; but not a continual 4.2V.
The claim that one carto equals a pack of analogs is also a stretch. I haven't met anyone yet who can confirm this.

I highly doubt V2 is 4.2 volts - just marketing bs IMO. ALL real KR808D-1 are 3.7v and all unregulated 3.7v devices are 4.2v fresh off the charger. That does not make them 4.2v batteries.

I vape V4L which is also 4.2 off the charger KR808D-1 and I use 3.7v mods and it feels the same to me. I use 3.7v Riva 510 (not a mod, the kits at Liberty-Flights.com are 3.7 and if you shop there be sure to first press the 20% off upper left front page before shopping). I also use 3.7v box mods and a wood mod (with AW IMR batteries to hold the voltage up better). Basically a 3.7v device that is unregulated should give you the same experience as V2 but with longer charge and the ability to use hotter LR cartos and atomizers. As well most are MANUAL so if you are vaping autos, manual alone allows more consistent good hits. All of my mods and big devices are 510 threaded since most stuff is 510 threaded. I use a 510 to 808 adapter if I want to vape KR8 cartos on them.

If you want to get more heat out of your KR8 cartos, you could shop variable voltage stuff like Provari and others.

If you're looking for a higher voltage, I don't believe the eGo is the way to go. The battery is larger than the KR808, but I haven't heard about any higher output. If you're just looking for longer battery life, you could go with the eGo. It's also basically a 510 with a big battery, so cartos would be as easy to find as a KR808's.

The eGo is actually 3.2-3.4V regulated, so if you like 3.7V then I would go with a Riva, kGo, or E-Power. They are all inexpensive 3.7V PVs that have 510 connections. 510 threading is the most popular and there will be alot of options you could use on it. You could buy an adapter for it so you could use the 40 cartos you have so you dont waste them.
While non of them look like a cig like the KR808, they will all give you a great vape and very good battery life.
I have an E-Power and love it. Its a regulated 3.7V which is nice bc the quality of your vape doesnt considerably drop as the battery drains. It also uses non-proprietary batteries, unlike the kGo/eGo and Riva. E-Power batteries cost $4 compared to eGo/kGo/Riva batteries that are $14-20, and they last a lot longer before they need to be replaced. Batteries are 1050mah and you get 2 with the kit, I get about a day to a day and a half on one battery. Plus everything on the E-Power is individually replaceable so it really keeps costs down.
The kGo also has great battery life, 1100mah. Its like the V2, starts off at 4.2V but then drops to 3.7V shortly after.
I think any of them would give you the hit and battery life youd be looking for.
And if you are looking for a carto that will last longer, if you get the kGo.Riva. or E-Power, check out the Ressurector cartos. They are 1.7ohm LR and hold alittle over 2ml of juice. They last a long time so you wont have to keep refilling constantly. They give great flavor and huge amounts of vapor. I fill 2 in the morning before I go to work, throw a spare battery for my E-Power in my pocket and Im easily good all day

And BTW not all Rivas are 3.7v. Only the Riva 510 SE from made by Eastmall and the latest other Riva 510's made by Eastmall are 3.7v. Liberty-Flights.com's Riva 510 kits and loose Riva 510 SE batteries are all new stock 3.7v. I recommend the new SE with the 3-click enable/disable which may make it more pocketable. The Riva's switch is fairly soft-touch which is great for vaping but not so great for pockets.
