Questions?? Please Help

Hey everyone,

So I'm new to the whole e-cig stuff and I have a question. I'm about to place a order for some e-liquid and I've been thinking about going with the vg option from johnson creek. I've read about people having allergic reactions to pg and I don't want to take the chance. Is there any noticeable difference other than thicker vapor, such as taste or throat hit? Is it a good option to go with vg right off the bat or should I get pg 1st and only get vg if i happen to be allergic? I just don't want to buy pg and end up not being able to use it and then have to wait on a shipment.

Also, I wanted to get jc's sampler pack. It seems like a good option to see what flavors I may like. But it only comes in med. level nic. I think that may be too strong for me. I used to be at least a pack a day smoker but over the past year I've cut down to 1/2 a pack or less a day and i smoke lights. Would I be okay with med. nic?

One more thing, I had put in an order off impulse and realized after spending time on this forum that I wanted a more reliable device from a reliable dealer. The one I've ordered with seems to be extremely slow with delivery and has horrible customer service. they won't respond to my emails. I think I will try to cancel the order with them. So now I think I want to get a dse 901 from altsmoke.com. Are they reliable with good customer service?

Thanks so much for any advice. I can't wait to start vaping! I'm so happy I found this forum!

Welcome aboard! Here are some of my observations for your questions....

JC juice. I've got an order in, haven't tried it yet, but I've heard that the flavors are a bit milder than some of the other juice supplers. I'll have to try it before I can give an informed opinion myself, but others rave that JC juice is the bomb....

I too, smoked 1/2pack day - mine were ultra lites (notice past tense!!) - medium nic (11mc) was too much for me - one cartridge full of that and I had the holy headache from hell....you can always cut the juice down by adding VG and flavorings to dilute the nic content. As soon as I find some LorAnn or Wilson flavorings that's what I'm going to do with the spearmint medium sitting on my shelf...

AltSmoke - have heard nothing but good from him - great customer service, good products, all around wild n crazy guy - Rob'll take good care of you.

I tell everyone, too, that if there is anything you DON'T like (juices, devices, etc) there is a classifieds section on the forum that gets alot of traffic - you can swap or sell on that.

Hope you love vaping!

Thanks for the advise. I went ahead and placed the order with altsmoke. I feel pretty good about it they gave me an order number and confirmation e-mail right away. I also notice they have a way for me to track my order. I will definitely be canceling my 1st order with that other company.

I got some e-liquid too. I got it from the smokeless stop. It was the only place i could find that had empty carts and the level and flavor of juice I wanted in stock. So I'm hoping I'm not part of the small percentage of people that are allergic to pg. I went with your suggestion and got low level nic. We'll see how it goes. Thanks

Hi Amanda,

I ordered from JC for my first juice order. I got a sample pack and a 30ml strawberry. As a smoker just going into vaping, the flavor was very mild. I would say I could only make out a true taste in maybe half the flavors. Which was still very mild.

The battle of PG vs VG still continues. PG some have reactions to, but does have a lower boiling point. VG has a sweeter taste and many are not alergic to, but has a higher boiling point, which has cause some people concern.

I would honestly say, try PG first with a low order, 30ml. This will last you awhile so you can test to see for a reaction and also have time to order more.

Hope this helps

Thanks Cell! I'm feeling really good that I placed my order with him. I just wish I would have placed it with him in the 1st place instead of placing one with the 1st website I saw. I've never really bought anything online, so I sent the other company an email to cancel the order. Hope that works. If not, do I just contact paypal? Cuz that 1st company I ordered with sucks. They don't seem like they want to respond to emails. Well I definitely know where to go now!

Johnson Creek juice is very good. No one can tell you if the PG is going to be a problem for you. With this new habit, you will have to experiment; and you may make a decision that does not work out so well. The sampler pack idea is golden! Do not worry about the strength of the e-juice as you always have the option to thin it out with distilled water and glycerine.

All e-cigs are inherently unreliable. That is why most everyone recommends that you have a few extra atomizers on-hand for the eventual failure of the original one.

Thank you all for the advise. I did order some samples and I'm really excited to try everything out! Trying different flavors sounds like it's going to be really cool. I can't wait to get my stuff and quit smoking analogs! I'm tired of coughing up my lungs all the time. Well everyone on here has such great advise and I really appreciate all of it. Thanks

If you get a sore throat. The next night before going to bed gargle with coca-cola before going to bed at night. It worked for me.

I've never tried JC because there was some concern about some of his juices going green. I don't know if it was just one batch or if it continued or if it was resolved, but I did read at a blog earlier today that the writer of the blog believed the JC juice cloged her atomizers. Here's the link: Warning: Johnson creek e-liquid | e-Cigarettes - Electronic Cigarettes

If you have good luck with JC, please let me know. I've wanted to order from them for a long time and due to things like the "green' and blog entries like this I haven't done it. Let me know how you make out. Good luck!

I believe PureSmoker's Cash liquid is VG. It's excellent!!! Janty and TotallyWicked are good also!

That entry is from last November, back when JC did have clogging issues, and so they changed their formulas. There are hundreds of posts about it here, at least (so folks can search if they want). It might be best not to keep posting that old link.
