Questions Re: MVP2.0 and VW

Hi ECF

I 'm using my three day old MVP2 with the included I Clear 30 running a 2.1 ohm attommizer head.

Prior to this device (which I have fallen in love with) I was using 809 style ecigs with 280mha batteries so it's a big step up and I have a few questions.

On day 1 I was playing around with the settings and ran the device at max (11) watts for a while before looking up some calculators and realizing that this wasn't sustainable, needless to say the attommizer head died the next day and I have since replaced it and found that for my juice (555 by MBV) which is rather thick the best setting is 7.0.

When I vape I notice I have to hold the fire button for around 4-5 seconds before the MVP delivers any noticeable vapour. Once the tank is warm I can probably reduce this down to about 3 seconds but often find myself 'double-firing) in order to get adequate vapour. This is especially noticeable when the juice is above the 2.0ml Mark on the iclear 30.

As my experience is pretty limited I just wanted to make sure that this was normal. Also, despite doing my best not to fill the centre hole with juice I do occasionally get a drop or two in there as I'm using a 236ml tank to fill it with.

I am thinking about changing the coil head again and pouring some of the juice into a smaller bottle to make it easier to pour and therefore stop getting juice in the centre hole as the difference between using a new coil head vs using one I've only vaped from for 2 days is really noticeable.

Questions:
1. Does the MVP2 take a while to fire up?
2. Is it normal to have the first 2-3 hits of using the device vapourless before heating up after a while of not vaping?
3. How bad is it to get a small amount of juice in the centre hole of the tank, will this burn out the atty head quicker? Will it damage the actual device?

I can hear gurgling and I'm really tired of trying to fill a 3ml tank with a 236ml bottle of juice so I'm definitely going to use a smaller bottle in order to stop hitting the centre hole. I just hope I haven't done any damage to the MVP2 as I've noticed juice on the connector point.

Thanks for your replies from a newbie.

yes i came across the issue as well with my 30b tank. it is due to to much juice being in the center post of the bottom cap. blow it out real
good disconnected from the upper tank. clean and you can fire again normally. but if it sits to long it will happen again. n my case this happens just before a coil starts reading non and not firing.

I answered my own question. This album explains it: Stupidity - Imgur

I have cleaned the tank thoroughly and used a q-tip to clean the top of the MVP2. I can't believe the difference it has made. Consistent, clean and good tasting hits over and over again.

When filling the tank, DO NOT EVER get any juice into the air hole. Not even a bit, use a syringe tip! I don't know what I was thinking trying to fill a 3ml tank out of a 236ml bottle. We live and learn I guess.

I ended up replacing the atomizer head for good measure as there was simply too much juice in there and I wanted to start again. That's 3 of them I've gone through in 4 days. I'm hoping filling it with a needle top bottle will extend the life of the head in addition to keeping the wattage at 7. I'm still holding onto the button for around 5-6 seconds each hit though, I don't mind - just wondering if it's normal. Should I go the higher wattage if it means less firing time?
