Hi there ,

pretty new to the whole e-cig / mods thing. Started off with a greensmoke and e-cig that was given to me from other people. Really enjoyed vaping.. I'm looking for more convenience in vaping so I wanna get into mods and have some general questions to try and save as much money and test some mods out if possible.

I have a blu cig currently which from my understanding so far is basically a generic 510 style battery. My question is can I use something like this HV Chibi Tank Mod (boge 3.0)
Chibi tank on a blu battery ? Not really wanting to know if it's gonna be a bad idea because of how awful the blu smoke is to begin with just want some convenience so I can fill my own juice rather than buying carts. If you guys don't think this would be a good idea or just wouldn't work.. What type of battery can I get that will work with a tank/cartomizer setup that would pack enough of a punch as I'm a pretty heavy smoker and be convenient enough to carry around with me / in my car.

Also a second question regarding the blue cig.. I have the usb charger that comes with it. If / when I can get some new batteries like a bigger 510 style battery will I have to get a separate charger or will I be able to hook anything up to that usb charger that fits ?

I did some searching and found some useful information just nothing that answers these specifics..

thanks in advance for looking .

Blu is not a 510. it just happens to have the same threading. The Blu battery has 1/2 the charge of a 510 battery and the 510 battery is a short charge battery itself. The Blu is reverse electrical polarity and its chargers will fry a 510 and vice versa. the Blu also does not use 510 cartos - i think it uses some kind of 306 cartos (also the same threading as 510). Basically having the same threading does not make Blu a 510 - it's not.

You could probably use something with Boge 3.0 in it. I think Blu should be able to use 2.5 to 3 ohms stuff that is 510 threaded.

The current Blues use cartomizers instead of atomizer.

Riva 510 at Liberty-flights.com is 3.7v and under $30 (if you press the 20% off on front page first) for a kit of 2,

Wow they switched to cartos now? I had no idea. Guess it's not that big of a change. I was using them way back when dripping was just getting big and their standard was a 306 with a cart. If that's case then my advice aside from confirming your charger statement is pretty much worthless since they've apparently changed their hardware.

You can get a PCC similar to Blu's but for 510 or RN4081 at NoSmokeVA.com (again - do not put Blu in it!!!!!)

Just search there for PCC and the $29 one is the PCC alone. I prefer 510 manuals to RN4081. Much more stuff available for 510. And more upgrade paths. The PCC only fits small 510 and RN4081, not the mega xl 510 nor the new 280mah RN4081 batteries.

I've decided to get back into it and go with an eGo or eGo-t, and just put the blu on the side burner.. Since I found a really good price for an ego-t online ($50 shipped w/ 2 bats). Funny it's actually cheaper than I can find a starter regular eGo kit. Gonna also get a few LR cartos maybe a tank mod and a ton of juices.. Can't wait to start enjoying vaping again. Looking at all the reviews and videos seems like this is the best choice right now. Appreciate the helpful info everyone. Thanks a ton. If you have any other usggestions let me know.
