Quetion on the vivi nova

I bought a vivi nova 2.5 from a vendor but recieved the older version.The one I purchsed does not have the air hole on the side of the bottom plate.It has the air hole on the 510 connector.I called them and they are willing to take it back and issue a refund,which is great but I have to send it back and thats a couple bucks out of pocket so,Im wondering if I decide to keep it,can I use the coil heads that came with it on the actual vivi nova 2.5 if and when anybody gets them IN STOCK..lol....seems every one is out of stock on these things.It would make since to me to just keep this one for the replacement heads since I got a good discount and only have 14.35 in it with the shipping.I assume I could use the tube as a replacement as well....please someone chime in and let me know if the parts are interchangeable befor I send it back...thank you for your replies

Version 2.0 and 2.5 both have the air holes on the top of the 510 connector. I believe the versions prior to 2.0 had the air holes in the base, in the knurling. Version 2.0 came with short wicks and 2.5 has long wicks. Which do you have?

Air holes are in the 510 connector on 2.5s.

I have a the one with the long wicks and it has the hole in the 510 connector..no hole in the bottom plate.....I was under the impression from GV video that the newest version moved the hole to the side of the bottom plate..is that video incorrect?

Yes, you can use the heads from your current version in the 2.5 version.

now I am completely cornfused...I watched a video from got vapes and it clearly states and shows that the newest version has the hole on the side of the bottom plate.....I think Ill just have a vape and steww on it a bit LOL

Thank you sir...wonder why got vapes video says defferently...it is hard to tell what info to trust it seems...I mean one the one hand I have the long wicks of the version 2.5,but on the other hand,I have the bottom plate with no hole in it.If I were to believe thier video,I would have to assume I have parts from 2 versions....

If you read the comments on that particular youtube video he adressess the fact that it is the old version. I had the same exact concerns as you after watching his video and then looking at my vivi nova.

Yep, that video confused the hell out of me too. When I got my v2's, I thought they were v1's because they had the hole in the 510 connector instead of the knurled baseplate. But the video is wrong.

This stuff is confusing enough without the (supposedly knowledgable) vendors posting incorrect videos.

Same here. I have no air holes by the 510 connection whatsoever. Cant get any draw out of my Nova. How did you fix?

Glad you're liking your vivi. On the GV site, they do say in bold red letters that the 2.5 has the airholes in the stem, but I do wish Chris would really annotate the video since that can be confusing.

There are clones out there of the Vivi Nova....the real one has vents on the 510 connection....the clones' vents are on the base.

some of the clones have vents above the threads too. There are a lot of em out there that aren't made by vision, but look identical

Get it from gotvapes. Might be a couple dollars more, but still a heck of a lot less than you probably spent on smokes, and you know what you're getting!!


ETA: and really I'm not trying to be snarky, but that's the only way I know for sure what I'm getting. I'd rather spend 12.95 (that's what they were last time I looked) and know I can trust what comes than spend less and it be garbage.
