Hi, i just got an evic and it seems when i adjust the voltage or wattage it moves the other. So if i am lowing the voltage the wattage will go down with it. Is this the way it's supposed to be and if so , why? I seem to be getting a burned taste when i vape heavy on it for a few minutes and my boge sr cartos with no tanks get hot pretty quickly.

Your Evic is working just fine.
Power (watts) = volts x current (amp)
Lower power requires lower voltage / higher power higher voltage and vice versa. Your Evic is basically telling you how many volts it takes to maintain the power ( watts) you set it at.

Yes, voltage and wattage are related to each other as said above so one will go down or up with the other. Below is a link to a calculator so you can see the relation, just enter your desired power or volts with the resistance/ohms you're using and hit calculate.
As far as it heating up your carto to much, unless it's running dry turn the power down.

Burnt taste and Hot Carto - power set to high and may not be wicking fast enough.
Burnt taste is normally the polyfill being too dry, when that happens I usually just drop a couple drops of juice in like I'm priming it. Also as said above, the voltage/watts is probably too high.
