Used to vap. as a way of getting away from dip and smoking from when I was in the Army.

Back to two packs of Lucky Strike non-filters a day and I can feel it.

My wife and I are looking to quit - at 28 years old and smoking since I was 13 I realize the damage is getting up there and it's time to give the body a rest.

Brings me to a quick question - which I'm sure has been asked a thousand times - which e-cigs do you prefer? I've only dealt with RuyanDirect and half of the stuff they'd send would be broken. I'd never have a problem getting new material - but it would only come when I'd send a new order, and waiting for stuff out of China sucks.

I also saw this thing called "The Chuck" made by a guy named Jeff, looks interesting - and if I smoke non filters maybe it's the route for me.

Anyway, hi, sorry for being long winded. Any advice is appreciated. I'm experienced in using automatics 901's and that's about it. Garbage out of China that broke more often than it worked. I need advice from those of you who know good U.S. sources.

Hello dbs and welcome to ECF! If you look under the "Forum Suppliers" section of this board, you will find a variety of vendors, some in the US, some in Canada, some in China, some elsewhere. Here is the link: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forum-suppliers/

There are a number of vendors here that I can personally attest to as far as quality hardware and excellent customer service. Vapor 4 Life has excellent products and service. The same can be said for Nhaler. Most - if not all - of the hardware V4L sells is KR808D-1 related. Nhaler sells the KR8 as well, but they also sell a variety of other configurations. I only have the KR8 type setups right now, but I'm very satisfied with their performance and ease of use.

I'm sure other folks will chime in soon with information regarding the 510 series, the Chuck, the Ego and others. Seems everyone here has their favorites, but you can be sure that they'll point you toward some excellent distributors.

Hope you have success in this endeavor. There's a ton of information here, and a whole bunch of helpful people.

Good luck!

I'll check them out, thanks for the links. Do you go automatic or manual? What flavor's do you like?

I've been told that using manuals is a better bet if you are going to refill your own cartomizers. I do a fair bit of refilling, so I've slowly been migrating to the manual batteries. I still have a couple of the autos, though, and enjoy using them when my hands are otherwise occupied.

As far as flavors go, I tend to like more traditional tobacco type flavors, like Virginia, Cowboy / Marlboro, Winston, and 555. 555 is kind of my primary vape at this point. It is a tobacco based flavor with some nuttiness to it. The first time I tried it, I hated it. The second time, I could tolerate it. The third time, I fell in love with it. :D

There ya go, that's what I was trying to do. Thanks. :)

So I think I'm going to go with a mini chuck so I don't accidentally explode my atomizer, haha.

If any of the users on here have a green U.S. Army picture I'd appreciate it to send to Jeff.

Also, all the current Chuck users. If you could recommend to me what additional parts I'll need for a mini Chuck outside of what Jeff sends straight out let me know.

I like RuyanDirect's #4 flavor, do any of the U.S. vendors carry a similar flavor?

Does anyone know of a flavor that would be similar to Lucky Strike ciggs?
