Quick ? on the 510 carts fit (got mine today!)

I don't want to force it any further, but is the flat part supposed to go all the way in to the atty? I can only get it in so far and it has a recessed section exposed. The part where the cap goes on the cart that's flat on the sides.

oh man I am SO loving this thing on the passthrough. Now I can really get off analogs.

i just pushed it a little further. holy crap the VAPOR! just a tiny recessed area now.

What are the *new* carts...?

I just received my 510 and it leaks like a sieve, I was looking to buy the 901 (carts) because they were supposed to fit tighter, but read this first.

I've only had it for a short time so I am still under the impression that I'm doing something wrong. Hit and miss vapor/throat hits..etc

However, even the pre-filled carts that came with the device leak. I have to assume those are not overfilled.

The ONLY cart I've ever had that leaked was one of the pre-filled ones that came with my first Janty starter set. Are you pushing the cart on all the way? Newer carts (meaning approx 4/09) fit noticably tighter. This issue which used to be a big deal seems to have been resolved...

The J118 whistle-tip carts will also fit the 510s, but you've got to go by 'feel' a bit; you can't push them in all the way. Once you've got that 1/16"=1/8th" inch of 'contact' between the cart poly and the atty, you're good. The J118 carts are slightly more than the 510, but it's .5ml vs .585ml or so...not worth it IMHO, unless you like the whistle tips..But, either way, no leakage here..

Right at the point where the cart and atty fit together.

I was thinking about it before falling asleep yesterday, my smoking habits/style may be throwing me off when it comes to my e-cig. I tend to take short rapid puffs off my cigs and I draw hard. I've slowed it down, but maybe not enough.

I've cleaned the attys & carts I have last night, I'm going to start again and experiment with some of the remaining pre-filled carts that came with the device. I've also got some fluval to try that I have not had time to sit down and fiddle with.

Good old trial and error...and error...and error
