Got my Joye 510, very very happy with the purchase and 2 day delivery.

Thanks all for your help, this should be a success this time.

I've searched high and low, have found tons of info on people who have claimed to slightly OD on nicotine, warnings about taking too much etc.

But what is too much? I have a 24mg bottle here and I can hit it about 6-8 times, without much of an effect. The reacion is delayed, sometimes I feel like I'm about to pass out, most of the time 6-8 won't touch me and I'll vape some more.

It's disappointing to feel as though I have a low tolerance and not be able to enjoy it for the length of my American Spirit ultra light cig. A lower dose might be more effective.

Nicotine is a centrally acting neurotransmitter. Its toxic effects are often delayed and can lead to dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. The worse case is severe vomiting leading to dehydration and low potassium. In the ED, you get fluids and phenergan to treat the effects. At home, if you get severely nauseated you can try 2 benadryl.

As for dose amount, it does depend on the person and how fast you are exposed. With the PV's although its listed as 24mg, that is 24mg/ml and you are not vaping a complete ml at once. If you take the 1ml = 20 cigarettes, then 1 cigarette = .05ml or about 1.2mg of nicotine per digital cig...now how much of that is in each inhalation.....who knows.

The second I move on to something positive, I always a negative to worry about. I'll just take it easy for a few days, don't want to be writing any horror stories before I've given this whole thing another shot.

This 510 is beast for vapor production, it makes the piece of crap I bought from SmokingEverywhere look like an entirely defective product.

Two drops of liquid are gone with about 4 hits, if that's anything to go by.

Anyway, as always - Thanks for your tips and quick answers.
This World of E-Smoking is certainly filled with some pretty damn fine people. Delivery in under 48hrs, customer support within the hour and answers on forums right away. This is the sort of thing AT&T should model themselves after, those ba$tard$

Cheers

I wouldnt worry about it too much you should feel the effects before they catch up with you

I got pretty drunk the other night and did something rather stupid , put around 30 drops in a pipe and smoked it with a lighter with a friend , it tasted so awesome banana flavor we kept puffing away till it was done
the juice was pg based and actually ignited to my surprise

just got a slight headache and tummy ache went away in a few mins , but one severe soar throat in the morning ....wont be doing that again

try a lower mg dose. you can cut the ones you have with vegetable glycerine found in heath food/ herbal/ vitamin sections of a supermarket. call for availability. the "vg" will give you more vapor as well.

don't overdo it in the beginning. i did and felt a big nicotine high the next morning. that was with full strength liquid. also i find hitting the ecig hard right before bed is not a great idea. ymmv;)

It's very likely impossible to over dose on nicotine using e-cigs. The absorption rate is very low by all reports. About 10%. 1mm of 24mg liquid would give somewhere around 2.4 mg of absorbed nicotine. About the same as a few cigarettes. You could chain vap this stuff all day and not OD.

In case anyone really wants to know, one average cigarette has about 10 mg of nicotine in the unburned tobacco. Only about 1 mg of that gets into your blood stream. If your feeling a bit off when you use your e-cig it's not because of nicotine.

but always listen to your body

get 0mg nic level as well to vape all day and only use the higher nic mg levels when you need them to satisfy your cravings.. Second, the listen to your body suggestion!! Tons of people can use the flavoring,, I can't use the flavoring my body doesn't like them so best to listen and not use them for me and everything is just fine.... So yes listen to your body and make changes when needed..
