Those are all great things to take into consideration. But how is one supposed to get into contact with vendors or companies. I have many products I have purchased over the years and purchase pretty well monthly. I do go out and show my new products and discuss the item. I was wondering how I could stop buying the products so often and set into gear on talking about the products via the internet/videos.

Participating in a business. Regular attendance at events. Even being involved in the political travels to speak.

Finally, they get asked. Initially, their costs of participation is all on the individual.

A duck floats on the surface, but paddles like Hell under water.

contact info is readily available on the internet - but you would likely need to be doing something to differentiate yourself FIRST, BEFORE you contact them - otherwise, you are just another end user who wants free stuff... burgeoning reviewers are all over social media, hence my statement that you would need to build some credibility and a following - it seems you are trying to put the cart in front of the horse

Start by doing just what you've already said.
Do reviews, be different, be interesting, CREATE the interest, then companies will FIND YOU.
Sorry, but it doesn't work the other way unless you can get hooked up with a hungry start up company. Good luck with that in today's environment!
Can you imagine all the people, like yourself, asking these companies, daily, for free crap? I'm pretty sure they are on the long list of things they ignore!
OK, I like Heather's Heavenly vapes NET juice line, I've bought several hundreds of dollars of their juice, they've yet to ask me for a review for freebies!
So do what you think you want to do, get established, get a following and they will come to you. Sorry, but it's not the other way around.
Also, for the record, there are VERY few of these "reviewers" that I even half trust! I believe most of them have been bought and paid for before they even start the review! I've found a large part of what they claim as "excellent" is pure crap most of the time!

I think I've spent more than $3,500 so I'm due for my own series on NBC or FOX.

All the money I spent they never asked for my reviews on strip clubs? I mean really? I want my money back so I can buy more vape gear!

Haven't been in too many strip clubs. There was a time when I could give you ratings on hockey gear, ice rinks, racing bicycles, archery gear, dojo's, weight training clubs, guns, gun ranges, gunsmiths, supersport motorcycles, but right now I stick to vaping and work.

I've become somewhat boring. I need to crank it up!!! :grr:

My tastes have somewhat changed. I don't think it sucks to get old, you just plan accordingly. I have more expensive tastes in some areas, but in others I'm no longer even interested.

I believe you.

I'm 56 and took care of my grandmother when she was in her mid 90's for three years back abt a decade ago. She lived to almost 102 and my mom took care of her for the last 5 years she was alive. Getting old is no joke. It's rough. I don't know if I'll be vaping...but this is a hobby I plan to see through for the time being. It keeps me interested in life and that is worth the price of admission.

Reviewers are a dime a dozen. Everyone with a computer and video camera wants 15 seconds of YouTube fame and companies know this.

If you want the companies to approach you, you have to put out the effort first and purchase things with your own money and review them. Once you've proven that you're a reviewer worth listening to, and you start building up a large following, then and only then will the companies approach you to review items.

Otherwise, they're going to treat you like every other individual that promises great reviews for free stuff. And that's to tell you to "don't call us, we'll call you".
