Hi Drum,

I have never tried any of the flavors you ordered except Rocking Chair but some flavors do require more steeping time than others. Also, I commend you on posting a thread on your experience without cursing or bashing. I hope everything working out for you through their customer service or the juice steeps to your liking soon.

The only flavor you listed that I have tried is the perique black and mine is light in color even after steeping but it did and continues to have a very strong and good flavor. Maybe just give it some steeping time. I haven't been dissapointed by any of their flavors yet, some may not have been to my likeing but they were still spot on. I am currently waiting on the next big bottle sale as I need 120 ml of the 555, hope they have a Valentines Day sale!!!!!!!!!

I understand steeping time. This is something one must expect if you are lucky enough to order juice from a place that will make it custom to your liking. I have left the caps off for over 96 hours. I am not disappointed with the flavors of the juice. I think what has happened is that the flavoring was not properly added to the juice. I believe that both the Perique Black Tobacco and the Dark Vapure Tobacco had no flavor added to them. If flavor was added it was much less than normally is. When one says that the color of these vapors is very light, I understand that. The color of the ginger juice I got was VERY pale. The color of both Dark Vapure Tobacco and Perique Black are clear. This means that there is no color whatsoever to them at all; not even slightly. This means that if you look at them with natural sunlight or numerous artificial light sources, you cannot detect any color. I realize that human error is often the problem with most complaints or problems. I can't over emphasize my experience with numerous vendors and dyi juices. I appreciate the advice people are offering, but this is not my first rodeo. I have ordered juice from over 17 vendors I can name off of the top of my head. This and does not include the names I have forgot. Some of these places don't even exist anymore.

I understand that taste is subjective. I understand that there is a learning curve. I appreciate everyones input and suggestions. I also understand that there may have been some mistakes made with my order. The only reason I even created this thread in the first place is because my message that was sent through freedomsmokeuse.com was not responded to. I am not trying to cause trouble. I understand that many people are huge fans of the juice sold from these fine folks. I have to imagine that over 99% of the time they do a great job! Unfortunately this was not the case with my order.

60ml bottle is perique black ordered 12-24-10. 10ml bottle is dark vapure 1 x flavor ordered 1-11-11. I'm not sure what color dark vapure would be without the extra flavor. I wish I would have ordered without the extra. It tastes too dry but vapable. I hope these pictures help.

I have 120 ml bottles of both Perique Black and Dark Vapure. My Perique Black is dated 10-16-10 and the Dark Vapure is dated 11-20-10. Both are the brownish color of the bottles I've ordered before.

It sounds like these two may be two of the flavors FA changed considering how light in color they are. All of mine has been dark brownish from day 1.

Regarding flavor, I usually order all of my large bottles with 2x flavor so I can't comment on what they taste like otherwise.

I checked all mails, and yes I checked junk and spam folders, just didn't receive it. but the internet is a fickle beast so who knows. I will be working the next 48 hours or so straight so feel free to call me I will be around :)

I can vouch for your good customer service. I recently called you and told you that I had received Butterscotch almond instead of the Butterfinger that I had ordered. It didn't taste like butterfinger to me at all, LOL and I kept on telling my friends that Im not tasting what they are apparently. Only after I traded some off and gave some away to some friends on this forum did I learn that it was in fact butterscotch almond. When I called you, you were very professional, and acknowledged that people are people, and they can make mistakes, and even offered to replace it when i sent it back. Well I put it in the mail today, and just wanted to thank you again for your warm customer support. Thanks again!

Ya, its not to bad, but I kept on trying to find that particular flavor LOL, but ya, i think someone from the forum sent me some from before and I liked it.. It may have even been bannaa almond or something. Its so hard to keep up with everything lol

I order a LOT from FSUSA- way more than I should, truth be told. I'll be honest, some of the flavors I LOVE, some I hate, and a lot of them fall somewhere in between. And yes, there have been times that I've ordered a juice that I'd had before only to receive something that wasn't quite what I remembered.

You said you were in the restaurant business- I can relate- I was in the same business for a long time, and I've done everything from Chef to Wine Host to washing the dishes. I would imagine that your palette is more refined than most, since it is a tool you use every day to a greater degree than the rest of the world. I think your concern with the juice is likely quite valid.

That said, from one restaurant vet to another, you and I both know that even a great chef making the same dish 10 times is never going to have it taste *exactly* the same every time. That's both the blessing and the curse of making things by hand and making them to order.

I hate that your first experience with FSUSA wasn't what you were hoping for, but I do hope you give them another shot. Of all the suppliers I've dealt with in the past 9 months or so since I started vaping, FSUSA has been extremely consistent in providing me with the absolute best customer service I've ever gotten from anywhere- and that's saying something, because I've been fortunate enough to have great experiences with the vast majority of my suppliers.

So many things can go wrong when making everything to order- one drop of flavoring too little, and an entire bottle of juice can be totally changed. It may have happened to you, and that does suck...but again, I hope you will give them another shot.

Finally, one thing I can say for sure is this: Some juices I thought I'd love, I didn't. Some juices I was a little iffy on ordering and I ended up loving. It's very possible that you ordered juices that sounded great to you on paper, and you just didn't like them in practice. Again, I've been there too (actually, Ginger comes to mind for me as well in terms of a flavor that I expected to love and ended up hating). Still, given the overall body of work (I've ordered from them at least 15 times now), I would say that FSUSA has consistently the best quality out there.

I'm sure David and Pam will do what it takes to take care of you- you seem like a rational, reasonable person with a reasonable concern who is not acting like it's the end of the world- and in my experience, as long as you continue to approach it in that way as opposed to getting belligerent about it like some people will, the folks at FSUSA will bend over backwards to take care of you. These guys are my favorite supplier for a reason, and the reason is their service. Their products are great, but their service is what keeps me from going elsewhere.

I hope you are able to get the issue resolved and give FSUSA another chance to earn your business- it will be worth your time and money in the end! Good luck!

I think I am used to juice with a more rounded flavor profile than either the two I felt were unflavored. I called freedomsmokeusa today and discussed my order. I don't think at this time that there was a mix up with it. I haven't had anything close to the two flavors in the sense of subtlety before. My plan at the moment is to order some honey, cuban and clove flavorings and see if I can create some flavor of my own that I will be happy with. Thanks for everyones suggestions and comments. I had an odd experience with Cinnamon Bun the other day.
I had written it off because I totally couldn't taste anything from my eGo. I'd tried dripping, carts, and cartos. Nothing. So when I was toying with the micro-mini I got for my mother, and needed a juice I didn't mind risking to waste, I grabbed it. It was delicious on that tiny little atty! Tried it again on my eGo, incase the flavor was due to aging, and still nothing.
