I just got some TFA rainbow sherbet flavoring. Im used to mixing flavor west flavors that need high percentages. I mixed this sherbet as a single flavor at 12% and it was overkill, very perfume like, and sort of turned me off a bit. Has anyone mixed with this? With what percentage and did you add any cream or sweeteners? Thanks

Perfume notes are probably from the raspberry. Let it breathe for a hour and put it up for 3 days. Should smooth out.

TFA Rainbow Sherbert was one of my early mistakes. There's no percentage I can use it at. I tried high and I tried low - it ruins every mix I put it in and as a stand alone it's just awful (disgusting would actually be more accurate). Somebody somewhere must like it because they still make it.

I never really see anybody espousing it's merits. Maybe someone will come along and let us know what we can do with it.

Id be interested to see the recipe. Yea as a shake and vap it was pretty foul , cant get the taste out of a brand new coil, will probably have to give it a wash n soak. Tried chocolate after thinking it would push the sherbet taste out and almost went crosseyed

HIC's Double Rainbow
All FA, all 1%:
raspberry
pineapple
lime cold pressed
lemon sicily
orange
custard
vienna cream
meringue
cherry
SnV, better in 3-7 days

That recipe looks a bit busy for me - too many fruits at once. But, it may vape just fine.

Doesn't help with the TFA Rainbow Sherbet problem though. :( I just went and had a look for my bottle. I can't find it - I may have thrown it out in disgust.

I haven't mixed it. Wrote it down for ideas mainly. I don't doubt it's a lovely juice, but awfully complex. I think HIC has another sherbet in his recipe store. Plus his fruit percentages are too light for my lowly taste buds. I add .5-1% to of all his recipe fruit flavors.

Could you add the single flavoring of the sherbet to that? Hate to waist this new bottle

I don't know about you but I find something terribly off with TFA Rainbow Sherbet. Go low and only mix a 10ml sample size up so you don't waste too much of the other flavors that are good.

I would be inclined to not add it to another sherbet if it was that bad. Maybe 2-3% added to a lemonade or limeade. Or maybe come up with a fruit smoothie recipe.

I know for me personally, I'm not inclined to add it to anything. Every mix I ever made with this in it got tossed.

I do see some recipes over at ELR that are using it at 6% so somebody out there is still buying it and using it. I just figure it's one of those flavors that just does not agree with me.

I've not tried it. The creating of recipes intrigues me too much. One premix flavor I'm liking working with is TFA fruit smoothie. Not a bad stand alone, great base for creating a smoothie without needing so many flavors. Some of the WF premix flavors are hitting a right spot for me and my friend, Meg, who I mix for.

It has an artificial flavor, I think it lacks the cream aspect of the ice cream. How do you make smoothies is that a milk base?
I've been using TFA smoothie and adding other fruits. Why don't you try the 6% sherbet Ceecee saw in recipes and add 3% of an ice cream or custard. I would be keeping it simple before wasting more flavors. If a cream or custard does not at least make it vapable I personally wouldn't waste any more resources on it.
