This computer makin me crayzy.. I made a password recovery disc, reset passwords, keep getting log on screen and locked user acc??? Even tried safe mode with cmd prompt == LOCKED OUT.... I think they got a virus...can't get passed the log in screen,, help please???

If you have another computer disconnect the hard drive with the virus then connect it to the other. Run a program called malware bytes it takes care of almost everything I've thrown at it

Im not sure what it costs, i got mine for free.
You just download it, then burn to a dvd or put it on a flash drive, then put it in the comp and restart it. Then it will let you bypass the password, and i might have been mistaken about having to access the registry to reset password.
Like I said, it didnt cost me a dime and I have no use for it, I can send you the disc

or i might even just be able to email you the konboot program

I do have mbam!! I was going to take the hd out and hook it up to my desktop.. And try to save any important files to flash drive ,, then upgrade their vista to win7... But that might be better just to hit it with mbam and avg.. Idk much about computers though :/

Hit it with mbam before you do anything else...dont want to risk transfering the virus to anything else

It's a dell Inspiron laptop, I already got an extra laptop hd inside my desktop.. I have tons of pics and vids and music I've collected over the years so I need lots of storage...I'll just swap out the hdd and clean it up first.. Hopefully I don't go crazy from frustration ..

I totally understand needing storage I've got about 5 tbs networked and the the 750gb on my laptop.lol
For some reason anything I do gets out of hand and I have a tendency to go a bit overboard
