I've been vaping a little over a week. I still smoke cigarettes, but I've really cut down.
I have a Riva 901 and a Silver Bullet (which is 510). I don't like having separate parts for 901 and 510, so I'm looking into conversion parts so I can use 510 on the 901.
It's nice having two PVs. I can take a hit of Menthol on the Riva, and then take a hit of Peach on the Silver Bullet.
I really enjoy the Vaporcast podcasts. I don't know anyone else that vapes. Besides all the great tips and reviews, nothing gives you a sense of the vaping "culture" than listening to these guys converse. Highly recommended.
I just got some low resistance attys yesterday for the Riva. This is definitely the way to go. All the standard resistance attys just became obsolete (unless I find a way to do high voltage on the Riva). I haven't tried dripping yet.
Thanks to highping for My Simple Cart Mod. I don't know if cutting off a little bit of the filler makes any difference, but the idea of removing the filler, adding juice, and then replacing the filler works much better than trying to drip through the filler. I'm still at the low end of the learning curve.
I haven't tried high voltage vaping yet. Is there really any difference vaping at 6 volts with standard resistance attys as opposed to 3.7 volts with low resistance attys? I learned I can use two CR123A 3 volt batteries in the Silver Bullet to make it 6 volt, but I don't know if it is worth the trouble. I guess
it's one way to use those standard resistance attys.
These .......s at work that throw their butts on the ground are beginning to piss me off. I think I'm turning into an anti-smoking vaper. Is there such a thing?
You have to make a commitment to a cigarette. I'm going to stop what I'm doing for about five minutes and smoke this entire cigarette. With vaping you can hit it as much or as little as you want.
Would you enjoy vaping as much if you couldn't see the "smoke" when you exhale? That is, you get your dose of nicotine on the inhale, but the exhaled vapor is invisible. I use a PV to get nicotine, but I do like to see the "smoke".
