If your standard atty works better than your LR atty on the same battery, I'd try the following:

Check the resistance of the LR attys with a multimeter.

Make sure the threads are clean on the atty, the battery, and make sure the center post is making good contact.

Try blowing out the LR atty, and dripping again. Low res or high volt will use more liquid, so make sure it's got enough. Also make sure it's not flooded. Since your standard attys are working fine, you probably already know all about this.

Some atties seem to take time to break in. It shouldn't take too long though. It's also possible you just got some bad ones or an inferior brand. Hard to believe they'd preform worse than standard resistance though.

Hope that helps.

I'm having trouble with one of my attys

I got a T-rexx. One of the attys works great, but tastes so GODAWFUL that I want to barf. So, I asked around and was told it was the primer, and I should clean it

so, I took the 2nd atty and soaked it in vodka, rinsed, and baked at 150 for 30 min. Put some drops in my cart and tried it. The atty does not seem to work. By that I mean, I don't get any vapor. The battery lights up, and I can hear and see sizzling in the atty, but the coil does not seem to get red. Did I screw this up when I cleaned it? They are sending me a new atty, but I don't want to put up with that taste again. seriously, just thinking about it makes me want to puke. I know its the atty because the same smell is coming from it.

Sometimes I see people talking about dripping. I thought that meant dripping juice into the carts. Do, I also need to be dripping juice on the atty? I thought the atty just got juice from the cart but maybe I am wrong. There were no instructions with this.

I would have started my own thread, but this silly forum seems to think I am not a noob anymore! I have only been doing this 2 weeks! I am clueless. So, sorry for latching on to your thread OP

When you get new attys you just need to blow the primer out of them. I wouldnt bake them or anything like that. New attys usually always have a break in period from a few mins to a few hours depending on the atty you have. When you get new attys you sould always check the resistence on them with a multimeter to make sure there the correct ohms... Or if i were you i would just get good quality attys from avidvapor or ikenvape. They usually dont have any primer on them when they ship so you just drip liquid in them and vape away! Hope this helps!

I have to agree with trying some attys from ikenvape. I hear rave reviews about ikenvape attys. I have yet to try them but i plan on it VERY soon. As soon as i buy my Empire mod that uses 901 attys.

Have to second this. I just got an IKV LR 1.8ohm 510 atty, like it much more than the 1.5ohm 510 I had. I get more flavor and it seems to leak juice a lot less for me (I drip and the IKV's bridge is about twice as large as the standard 510, which may mean a larger wick?).

Plus they look super slick with the chrome finish =]
