So this survey got me thinking when it asked me who gives a negative perspective on vaping. This is personally just my opinion but i am curious as to what you guys think. Again this isn't to start arguments just opinions!

So my response was the one who are sub ohming and walking around malls/restaurants/stores etc where there are children, the elderly, parents etc. and they are blowing these huge clouds aimlessly while walking... IMO this gives people immediately a negative thought about this new "E Cigarette." I think sub ohming is bada** but should be kept where appropriate.

Another was people who are building mods, sub ohm coils and don't know what there doing. Of course when something happens cause someone doesn't know what there doing the media will find out and it will spread.

Last another was the ones who have children and pets around and leave there e juice laying around capable of getting into there hands/mouths. This is like leaving bleach or a chemical.. it should be put away locked up or in drawer.

I love vaping and the world that comes with it, but I think some people should be more aware of what there doing and how it is impacting others opinions on vaping.

what do you guys think??

First of all, what survey?

As for who gives a negative view of vapers to the general public..
That would be rude vapers.

Define "rude vapers" how you see fit I guess.
We've certainly had a lot of threads about that.

But I think it's safe to say that if you are...
--Blowing clouds in a confined space
--Not caring about anyone else
--Acting like you are King of the World

Then yeah, you're giving vaping a bad name.
And you're also an ....

But I'm sure you've been an ... all your life, so I doubt anything we say here will change that.

I think he means the survey at the top of the forum page

There's a Modding forum that has information for anything from a Nicostick or Puck to a 30 watt DNA fused of course, and anything in between. Also a community that will coach someone with no idea how to solder to build a mod of their own.

p.s. - there's nothing that tastes a good as the first vape off a mod you built yourself...:vapor:

Oh, in that case, it's mainly the media.

But why the media is trashing us instead of supporting us is the big question.
It certainly appears to be mostly about money.

Sensationalism sells, so there's that.
But Big Pharma pays for an awful lot of advertising space, so there's that too.

And the media also have a wide variety of negative slants to choose from to feed sensationalism, most of which are basically lies.

And the lies come from many sources.
Which again is all about money.

Big Pharma pays good money to have electronic cigarettes trashed...

Big Pharma basically pays the "non-profit" health organizations to pump out propaganda.
That is why the ALA, ACS, CTFK, and other alphabet soup organizations willingly oblige.

And they also "essentially" pay researchers to create those lies that can then be pumped out by the media...
As drug industry’s influence over research grows, so does the potential for bias

Well, that and they all get money from the Master Settlement which drys up when smokers quit smoking for real.

And then there's the government tax money, and how certain government agencies feed the lies.
Certain very well-known FDA and CDC studies are solid evidence of that.

Yeah i agree but i don't think everyone goes into that forum and reads and understands building before doing it. I was more leaning that statement to ones who may think they can just wrap a coil stuff cotton into it and vape away

Yes, i also think the sub-ohm community & philipines vape community will cause problems for this ecig community eventually. I have many filipino friends that tell me they ruin everything they touch lol, from politics to products. Their influence on clouds is mainly showboating

Im half filipino and i can vouch for this statement

Interesting response and links, yes your right the media does have a lot to do with it as well.

If their mods work for more than a day or two, they've been there. I've spent more years vaping my own creations than any store bought, and was pleasantly surprised to see modders included in the survey.

The modders forum has more information on battery safety & performance (measured and certified), proper fusing (time to respond), proper gauge wiring, proper vents, voltage drops and electronics efficiency than any section of the forum.
