RAWR Vapor POISON?

Hey guys, Well I ordered some juice from RAWR Vapor and it was thier POISON tobacco blend. I havent tried very many flavors as I am new to vaping but the few that I did try were straight menthol, absinthe, red bull, peach and apple. All pretty good if I might add. I wanted to try a tobacco blend and heard alot of people raving about RAWR's POISON saying it was a great tobacco blend so I ordered it thinking it would taste close to a regular cigaratte and oh boy was I wrong. It has some kind of weird gross burnt nutty flavor or something I dont know I cant quite put my finger on it. I didnt like it at all though. Not trying to knock RAWR cause not everyone is going to like the same thing but is this what to expect from most tobacco blends? When I think tobacco I think about the smell and taste of a regular cigarette but maybe all that is different when in vapor form as opposed to combusted into smoke. I used to smoke Marlboro Lights and I'd like to find something that tastes close to that but I'm afraid to order another tobacco blend e-liquid if they are all gonna have this funky kind of flavor that im not too fond of. I like the fruity stuff and really like the menthol but I'd like to find something thats close to regular old smoke, something that will go good with a few beers. I hear Gandalf or Shadowfax from Heathers Heavenly Vapes might be the ticket. Maybe something with a slight mentol or vanilla taste would be ok but NOT the burnt nutty taste! Can anyone help me on my quest to find a good tobacco blend so that when I'm having a few cold ones I can feel like im vaping a Marlboro?

well nothing will taste like a cigarette but tobacco juices are very varied as any flavor out there ... heathers heavenly vapes are very tasty and though most would recommend gandalf first you might want to try dark horse ... with 14 tobacco juices you are sure to find one to your taste but i think the closest to a cigarette taste is wrangler lite from goodejuice house brewed line

I got a sample of poison apple and I know what you are talking about.

I got some samples from HHV and they all seem to use a similar base. So I wouldn't order 14 different tobacco samples from any one store. but sometimes stores do have one good juice that is different from their norm.

There are a bunch of threads of tobacco type juices. One of them will probably have something you will like. Buy tiny bottles. That's my advice. Don't make a big order from anyone. Just a sample or two. Shipping is usually cheap and it took me a while to figure that out.

I'm a former Marlboro Light smoker. Also, not a fan of that nutty tobacco taste. I love HHV's tobacco's. Gandolf nor Shadowfax taste anything close to an MBL, though. But, I bet you would like them. My favorites from HHV are Huntsman, Dark Horse, Gollum and Dragon's Fire. You won't get a nutty taste from HHV's ejuice because they are extracted tobaccos. Whereas, most other vendors try to duplicate a tobacco flavor by combining other flavors.

Cool! Thanks for the heads up guys! Yeah HHV's Gandalf and Dark Horse seem to always pop up in the numerous threads I've read regarding tobacco blends. They have a lot of tasty sounding vapes. I think i'm going to place an order with them as soon as they start taking orders again.

hey man, yeah i feel you on poison...

RAWR has become my favorite vendor and i pretty much only vape tobacco juices, but i never really got into poison (i have two 5ml bottles i just tossed in the steep drawer and will come back to in a month or so maybe)

RAWR does crazy good fruit flavors, and not being that big on fruit flavors, i really do appreciate some of theirs...especially cause Mike seems to be a menthol freak (like me) and you can mentholate pretty much everything he has, so I got a killer sample pack of fruit juices all with menthol and they are my favorites of any fruits i've tried...green peach tea w/ menthol has actually made it into a tank over here!

back to the tobacco -- J55 is my favorite juice from RAWR but its a 555 twist which are generally considered 'nutty' -- ill tell you this, its nothing like poison though, at least not to me...its like a buttery creamy tobacco and i get chocolate notes out of it...dude i smoked newports for 15 years, i never thought when i started vaping that i would like something like i just described, but hell its like my favorite juice

on to heather's heavenly vapes -- they make some seriously killer tobacco's: the whole purity line is pretty amazing. a lot of them are more "pipe" tobaccos in taste, at least to me, which i actually ended up liking a lot since they taste real tobaccoey to me, which is something i crave...ill throw some pure menthol drops in there and voila, incredible...my favorites are gandalf (like everyone else) and shadowflax (kinda like j55 with more bacco and less chocolate/nut) and huntsman -- hunstman is sick, its very 'grassy' (you will know what im sayin if you taste it) but its awesome

heather's does a good sample deal too, so I would order a sampler from them and pick four tobacco flavors -- i bet you will find one you like...

other than that, definetely try backwoods brew -- my go to straight up no bs tobacco juice is their casablanca: I add menthol and its the closest thing (to me) to what a cig tastes like

i just got some tobacco's from want2vape that are heavy duty cigar/pipe blends but i havent really tried them much so i cant speak honestly about them....

ill say this though, dont be disuaded by your poison experience from rawr in general, and from their tobacco juices specifically -- they really have great stuff to offer...

beyond that, get some of heathers juice for sure...anything from their purity line

HHV juices are amazing-- everything I've tried has been good-to-superb.

I would go for Huntsman as a beer drinking vape. It's the closest to a straight-up tobacco to me.

Be aware that certain juices need a lot of steeping to taste their best. My Gandalf wasn't really ready until it was 4 weeks old.

Jiggy on the other hand was awesome right out of the mailbox. Hooka-style tobacco flavor, "floral but not perfumey" was accurate; I vaped right through 15 ml and now have to order more. Don't know what flavors go into it, it's so well blended they just seem to meld into a single new flavor, and a lot of it.

God I'm really bummed HHV is down until after Thanksgiving...im gettin deep into a recent sample pack that included gollum, dark horse and dragon's fire -- SO GOOD!

I think dark horse could easily be my new all day tape -- to me its like a perfect hybrid between huntsman and gandalf...can't even imagine how good itll be after proper steepage

I used to smoke Marlboro Lights and havent found a ciggy tasting liquid yet. I don't really care much because off all the other wonderful flavors out there. I have a sleeper RY4 you might consider. High Desert Vapes RY4. It dosen't taste like a cig but is a mild flavor you can puff on all day and not get tired of. Not a nutty flavor. I cant put a finger on the taste but it is a good vape.
