HI all,
Quick question: How often to micro coils need to be changed to maintain optimal performance? I realize this may be a matter of vaping volume and I would def. say I'm a heavy vaper. As far as the wicking goes I recently changed out my cotton wicking after 1 week just to do it, dry burned my coil and cleaned it. It seems now though I get less vapor. I still get good flavor but the clouds have def. diminished.

Thanks,

poorcharlie

My current microcoils in my Kayfun and Patriot RDA are about 8 weeks old. I dry burn between wick changes every 3 - 4 days on both. No change in vapor production from when they were new and now.

Unlike some people, I don't particularly get a buzz from wrapping/making coils. It's a necessary chore to be done when it needs to be done. I just like to vape.

I've used the same coil (dry burned and rewicked each time) for up to 4 tanks (5ml per pop). No issues for the first 3 tanks, but almost always get dry hits on the 4th on the Taifun GT - 3rd, sometimes 2nd on the Kayfun.

On all times noticed the kanthal seemed kinda gun metalish in color and my e-liquid color seems to darken fairly quickly.

Could it be that I messed up the setting when i recoiled (ohm checked shows its stable), or I just shouldn't be so lazy and should just recoils every other tank?

What gives, guys? Any thoughts?
