Hello. I went from and ego c twist to a vamo V3 and PT2. Been using the PT2 for about 3 weeks now. Love it but I like to build things. I've seen several videos and there are some that look easier than others. So far, I like the new Fogger V2 that just came out. I like that it can use different wicks, easy to assemble and has air flow control. Anything else out there that would be better? I like a really airy draw. I also would like something more than 3 mil. Thanks.

I personally would go with an RSST or AGA-t2 although I stay away from them all together and just use drippers. the fogger is a completely different design. it's a bottom coil much like a Protank and air is fed from the bottom. I can't speak from experience on the fogger but I would think it would perform much like a protank. the RSST and AGA-T2 you can adjust the airflow by enlarging the air hole.

The rsst is a very forgiving rba and a recommended starting point for beginners. Both the wick hole and the tank are insulated, this will help prevent shorts caused by an improperly oxidized wick touching the bottom of the tank. It also makes the coil glow from inside out rather than from the center post out.

I too prefer an airy draw, I drill out all my airholes to 5/64.

Taste will not be affected by the material of the tank, but will be much better than the pt.

The tank is plastic so you may encounter an issue with some juices.

I have mine setup with a micro coil and cotton wick, you can use silica or mesh as well, lots of options.

Also, if you only have regulated devices, you're gonna have to make a higher ohm coil. This will be very tricky depending on what gauge kanthal you use. More wraps = more resistance = more of a PITA it will be to space out each coil properly to avoid hot spots.

You need a mechanical to get the true .8 ohm taste that 4/5 wrap of 28gauge will give you. You will not be able to fire it on the vamo because the ohms will be too low.

But before you get into that, you need to read about battery safety and their safe vaping limits for the resistance of the coil. This is a more advanced procedure and you will be putting more amps and stress on the battery than you would using your current setup.

You need to do some more research before you should attempt this.

The RSST has done features making it a good choice for new RBA users. The insulated wick hole, the fact that the wick will never short to the track via the bottom.. plus, capturing the coil wire is easy... the positive post has a spring loaded plate, so you just pop the coil wire on the plate and wrap it around the center post... you don't need to tighten down a screw to grab it.

I got a RSST as my first RBA and it was a snap to build. As the wick is insulated, I oxidized it by pulsing it while built. Worked great, Vapes great.

Where is a good place to get ss mesh and wire?

Discount Vapers. Great site, really good prices, quick turnaround and excellent customer service (the owner, Eric, is awesome).

The prices there are the lowest you will find, domestically, for most things.

Hmm... they had the RSST for like $27, but I couldn't find it this morning... plenty of wire though.

I have an RSST and they are real nice for genesis style coils. But I still find myself going back to my Igo-l's mostly. It's just easier to me to build coils with cotton or ekowool and they hold approximately 20 drops of juice in the well inside. Everyone likes different but an Igo-l. Is always handy to have to fall back on and they are pretty cheap.

RSST would be my vote as well. If you can wait a little, the RSST II (with glass tank) is supposedly coming out soon. The AGA-T2 is a lot more fidgety with the positive post. AGA-T2 is a better choice in the future if you want to have multiple coil setups. Drippers are great too. Although I really like my IGO-L/W, I think a Trident (or clone) would be a better choice. The posts are much easier to screw in, and it allows you to experiment with airflow before taking a drill to your top cap.
