I think of it like this: the space in which music is played makes a huge difference in sound quality, right? They build those crazy styrofoam rooms in recording studios for a reason.

I think this analogy carries over to atomizer chambers. The inside of my Kayfun chimney looks very different from the inside of my dripper, and it affects the characteristics of my vapor. I can't say exactly what variables affect a certain characteristic, but there is a pretty significant difference for me, even with essentially identical coils, at the same wattage. Probably airflow is the biggest contributor, though: whether it comes from below the coil, beside the coil, and the amount of air, is typically pretty different.

Definitely more options with an RDA if u have enough power available. I see my RBA as the cigarettes I carry all day and the RDA as my pipe I use while relaxing at home. More flavor and vapor, but requiring more attention. If they are set up the same you are probably not taking full advantage of the RDA. Experiment with builds and have some fun. ;)

Ok so I went and got a Quasar today, built it dual coil at 1ohm at 25 watts taste pretty good. I also tried dual coils at .30, I actually like the 1ohm setup better. I can taste a difference but imo it's just not that much and the kf is a lot less work for close to the same taste. I guess I will keep experimenting. Any other suggestions ? Maybe I need a different mix on my juice?

Taste is a subjective thing but in general a 1.0 ohm coil built on a Kayfun should not be significantly different than an identical build on another atty fired at the same power other than the difference in airflow. There may be subtle differences in your experience based on the different chamber sizes, bore of the drip tips, etc. Other differences may be due to the rate of juice flowing to the coil.

You can make them taste the same, but you can't make a good RBA be as good as a good RDA.
An RBA is limited by the amount of air and liquid it can pull while an RDA is not.
Using an RDA you can sub ohm with a mech or use very high wattage with a box mod, while an RBA won't be able to handle it.
Not necessarily true. I run a 0.37ohm dual coil on my Fogger 4.1. That said, I drilled the air intake channels out to 3mm so that I could supply my coils with more air, so "out of the box", you're quite correct. It can be done though.

Yap. As has been said. You can build a rba to taste remarkably good, but you can not get it to taste like a properly engeneered and powered rda. Its in the design. If it was possible, drippers would'nt be where they are in the hobby right now. You just cannot beat the flavor of a properly set up dripper. You can come close, but when it is all about flavor, its hard to argue with the mouth.
