RBAs? RSST?

+1 on the Kayfun. I have the EHPro Kayfun Lite Plus V2 clone. LOVE this RBA. I'm going to order another one or two probably next week, just to keep different flavor options filled and ready to go. I've read good things about the RSST also, but I have no personal experience with them.
While the Trident may well be a great RDA, the OP specifically said they are looking for something with a tank. The Trident doesn't meet that requirement if I'm not mistaken.
If your used to dripping it may be hard to switch to a tank. I have an aerotank its good if you like the adjustable air flow. But I would recommend the aerotank mega they have redesigned the air adjustment on it and it holds more juice.
Yes, I am able to read what the OP said that is why I started my reply with a good RSST, which is what he is looking for. I was just stating what I was currently using (trident). Maybe you should concentrate on good suggestions for the OP instead of critiquing my comment.
The only problem with the aero tank or the aerotank mega is that they arent rebuildable, they have the little premade coils that are hard to get at. The Kraken is a good one but just cant set it on its side. Ive also tried a steamturbine hits like a champ but same leaky issue. Kayfun/ Russian 91% are probably the way to go, but if your used to wide open holes the KFL is hard to get used to (very tight draw IMO)

Then is it comprehension that you struggle with? OP specifically said they HAVE a dripper but are looking for an RBA with a tank. Yay, you have a trident clone. Good for you, but that's not what the OP was asking, now was it? That's like someone saying that they have a motorcycle, but want to find a car to drive on rainy days. Then you come back and say here's a nice car, but you should try riding this Harley instead...

Seems to me the question is do you need the flavor of a Genny(rsst, kraken etc), or the no worry tip proof Kayfun style (good taste). The Gennys are a great flavor but as has been pointed out you CAN NOT leave on its side at all, and can be tricky to setup. the Kayfun (fogger Aqua etc) have much less leaking issues once you get your build down but don't work as we'll at high wattage, and often slightly less flavor. It really is a preference like everything else here.
An RSST is a "genisys-style" atty. People either love em or hate em. Normally a genny is built with a rolled-up SS mesh; the bottom of this mesh goes through a hole into the tank, the top part has the coil wrapped around it.
The Kayfun and friends are rebuildable BCC types; the wick and coil are at the bottom of the tank, and the wick and head design keeps too much juice from flooding the coil.
Hope this helps you understand the basic difference between the two.
Edit: You might also want to take a look at the 3D. It gets very mixed reviews (it's pretty hard to build) but it's an attempt to combine a dripper with a tank. (Kind of like a bottom-feeder for non-REOS mods).

I never suggested that they purchase a Trident, but Im not going to sit here and argue with you on a forum like a child so why dont you just get over yourself.
The RSST or another "genisys-style" atty will provide the warmer vape you are used to in your dripper but if you need something to lay on its side the Kayfun style will suit your needs better.

I love my kayfun. But I also love my drippers. Usually my drippers have a low ohm build and my kayfuns range between 0.7 to 1 ohm. I get great flavor warmth and vapor production. I prefer the drippers with a more open draw so I can lung hit them.

RBA is kind of a generic term for rebuildables. RSST is the name of a genesis style RBA, where the coil sits on top of the tank and wicks upwards.
Kayfun/russian/rose/squape/expromiser are other popular RBA's that have the coil below the tank, and use vacuum pressure to draw liquid to the wick.
Genesis style RBA's are know for being finicky and leaky, but with lots of warm vapor. Kayfun style RBA's don't usually leak and are known more for flavor and less vapor.

I know atleast Aerotank coils are rebuildable, infact they're easier than KFL imo. But i started my learning process with Aerotank/protank coils.
Aerotank mega got some new coil design so i can't comment on those.
I agree that kayfun would be the way to go.
There is a new version of the Kayfun with a dual airflow system. I absolutely love my Kayfun and I'm pretty excited to try it out with dual airflow.
If you want flavour i recommend a genesis style rba (rsst) like the steam turbine or aga t, but if you dont want to deal with leaking you should go with kayfun or tayfun style rba, but if you like your dripper you should buy 3d attys because it is a dripper with a tank that can fill your atty it's called automatic dripper, i haven't try the bottom feeder though but you can try reo if you want
