I find the batts do drain a bit quicker - depending on the Ohms & device. Anything less than 2Ω tends to drain the 18490 in my ProVari quicker than coils of 2+Ω. I use ~2Ω coils in my Chids on my 1000 mAh Twists, without any significant quick drain issues - but I do keep them set @ ~8W. Lower ohms or higher watts w/ a Chid on a Twist does decrease useful charge time. I'll use sub-2Ω coils in my Chobras on my TOX (since they tend need low(er) voltage and that's well withing the TOX's power envelope).

I've got a couple of AGA-Ts coming in today, so I'm going to try for a 2.4-2.5Ω coil and work it on my ProVari & see what's what.

HTH!

Maybe you should start with your 32ga & do a 6/7 wrap (and leave the top tail long-uncut)... then check the ohms. If it's too low, undo the top screw/nut and wrap another wrap on your coil with the long tail you left hanging. If it's too high, remove one wrap from your coil and then check the ohms. If it's "just right" enough, clip off the tail.

Work on your hot spots until they go away. Fill with juice and vape your face off! :D

Hey I'm an RBA newb. That was my first coil. :D

I've got 28, 30, 32, and a small amount of 36.

I'm partial to the 32 and the 28- but all of my coils EXCEPT the one surrounding the 95mm monster wick in my AGA-T are about 1.3-1.8 ohms. Any higher than 32 gauge and you're talking SR to HR.

Am I right in thinking that with a product such as a... Caravela :D, I should stick with LR, but with something that has variable voltage I can go towards SR?

It all depends on your preference. I tend to take "shorter" 3-4 second pulls, and I find the combination of low resistance-standard voltage works very well for me- some people will say SR+ High voltage works just as well, but I want something that is more cross-platform. I purposely searched for a "happy medium" that would work with un-kicked 3.7v mods like the hybrids, so that when I do get some of those, I'll be able to achieve the same vape. After a few dozen (or a few hundred!) different builds, you kind of just find a set-up that works for you, no matter what device it's on. Or, you could just keep experimenting forever... but I find it is nice to find one set-up that can be carried across all of your devices.
