So I was reading the thread below about using ego's(which I currently use) with rba's. Somebody chimed in about the amp limit and how it may be dangerous. I've been thinking of upgrading from egos and wondering how the mvp2 would do with rba's. Im getting sick of burning coils with my protanks and not being able to use some juices I like that are prone to killing the coils quick. I like the idea of the mvp2 cause it has the built in ohm meter, and I dont need to purchase batteries and chargers seperately. Just wondering if this is a good mod to buy or If i should look elsewhere.

Awesome, thanks for the response. Think I'm going to pull the trigger on one. Whats the benefit of going that low in ohms? I was planning on trying to shoot for 2.2 or somewhere around there.

10,000 threads and vids on low resistance attys. Potential improvements in flavor, throat hit, vapor production... and because we all needed something to do with our 24 & 26 gauge Kanthal.

But seriously folks.... I don't run sub-ohm in RBAs. In RDAs, with dual coils, I seldom go below 0.8Ω... but some will run as low as 0.2Ω. If not done correctly and with the right battery, resistances that low can be quite dangerous.

In a DC RDA, like say for example a IGO W2 or a Grand Vapor Trident... the level of flavor and vapor, with the right coil and wick set-up is fantastic, and will exceed that of even the best RBA... although with genesis type RBAs, sometimes, not by much.

Well I guess I got some reading to do!

Just ordered the mvp2, $43.00 shipped seemed like a hell of a deal. Now to decide which rba to get....thanks for the help.

My one, my only... my most consistent recommendation, is a Kebo Russian 91%. That or a Kayfun or Kayfun clone (so I guess, not my one and only then is it ). If you're tight on cash, the Tobeco Rocket, which is a Svoe Mesto Kayfun 3.1 clone, is a great buy from a US vendor at $30. Very easy to coil and wick... fast learning curve. With the money you save, you can buy at least an ohms meter, or better still, a DMM.

The Rocket is cheaper from FT... but that's your call.

yeaaaa I checked out the ones you said you use and they're quite pricey. The tobeco rocket is more in my price range.

You recommended buying a ohms meter, doesnt the mvp2 have a built in ohms meter?

They do... but it doesn't hurt to have a "stand alone" one that can be used as both an ohm meter/build base.
If, in the event - at some future point, you go into mechs, or even removable battery type APVs, I will more sternly suggest a DMM, but for now, you can survive with just the meter in the MVP2.

Ah I see...well as of now I have no plans to do that. I work a lot and am always out doing stuff on my days off. I like the fact I can just carry the device and the charger and be good to go.

Just got my new mvp2 and my rba looking to achieve 1.8 ohms. I have some 28g wondering what size to wrap the coils. I know the evod coil rebuild of 12 wraps but of course this is a different beast. I have seen others working but no answer on the sure size to wrap the coil. Thanks
Punch your numbers into vape calc.

;-)
