I think Plumes meant ICR. Regardless of battery selection you have to research the battery you are looking to use. Specifically, what is it's maximum discharge rate in context of what you are building and what you plan to use on it. That factor alone would eliminate practically all cell phone batteries as not being high discharge rate batteries. Some RC batteries may work - but unless you can find the specs on them and know how to do the math anything could be risky.

You want to check out the battery safety page on here it will not only tell you the difference between them all but what their Max output is and depending on what your setup looks like you'll know the best to get and be safe. I'd stay with AW IMR 18350 's and Sony vtc3or4's in an 18650 they are by far and away the best. Don't stack 18350' s. Don't ruin your batteries down really far, those are the secrets of batteries in this game.
