Hey Guys,

I am just about to purchase an Omega but I have one quick question. Hopefully someone can answer this for me.

From my understanding two RCR123A batteries will fit within the Omega. Can anyone confirm that two AW IMR 16340 batteries stacked will also fit in the Omega? From my understanding these batteries are supposed to be the same size but I am not sure considering that the 16340 does not have a protection circut while the RCR123 does.

Thanks for the help!

Hey Scorched :)

The IMR 16340's will fit in the Omega and SB.... but very tightly so. I really wouldn't recommend stacking them and pushing the units. Plus, since those batteries are actually 3.7v batteries, you'll end up stacking to 7.4v... which is a whole lot of voltage and does tend to really burn juices/cartos/attys fast. When freshly charged, the IMR's are actually 4.2v, so that would be 8.4v when fresh off the charger.

We generally don't recommend stacking any batteries, but if you choose to do it, I'd really urge you to stick to rcr123a LiFePO4 batteries. :)
