Hello all, Kelley here from Maryland! I'd like to begin with a thank you to this site for all the information it has supplied me with. It makes it so much easier learning from others.

I'm so excited to dive into the vaping world. I have 8 hours to wait while the battery charges.....arrrggg. Here's a little about me. I have smoked on and off (more on) for 15 years. It's always been on/off because my hubby is a smoker and he had no intention of quitting, until now. I've not had an analog in 5 months, not even a drag. I've been using the patch to curb my cravings and it has worked. He read an article about the e-cig and was very interested in checking it out. I did a little quick research online before we headed to the nearest mall and tobacco stores to find one. We found a kiosk that sold them for around $150 and I knew that was waaaay overpriced for what came with it. Thank G#% the for the internet! They let him try it and he wasn't thrilled anymore, but I sure was! So here I sit, getting ready to learn my oral fixation all over again. I like my nicotine. I liked to smoke just not at the expense of my life. Am I making a mistake? I still have 8 hours to decide.

Thanks all!

Hi Kelley, are you making a mistake? Definitely not!

Ditto on this!

Greetings Kelly and welcome to ECF. Glad you came here to get the facts before making your 1st purchase. It's not only more cost effective, but also less mental anguish when you find out that those mall kiosk PV's aren't quite up to par. A lot of them break down the same day, and then sometimes you can't get a refund.

Well, the easy part is over -- the purchase. Now the fun part of finding the perfect juice for you. I suggest that you stick with the mildly flavored ones for the first month until your taste buds grow back, then go wild and nuts after that. Just give your taste buds a fighting chance first. Don't burn them back out with the cinnamon oils and heavy menthols. I learned that the hard way -- just a suggestion to make your vaping journey a more pleasurable one from the beginning. Have fun, and happy vaping. Hope you stick around ECF for a while. :)

LOL it's more cost effective for some but not those of us that catch the dreaded Modders bug!! Take a look at my sig. I also have 17 juices and 12 atomizers. I bet I've spent over a thousand already in the first 3 months! Eeehh! But I do tend to go a little crazy with new toys :)

I saw your Little Chuck in the porn thread this morning.
I always check the porn thread every day, to see what people are getting.

Nice Little Chuck there, and nice to see it's yours.
:)
Well thank you! Yours are two that I actually REALLY like... I really can't stand all of those chucks with the fantasy graphics on them, look tacky to me. Yours are sweet. I am still checking the PrOn thread every day as well lolol, even though I already have mine shipped... the habit has started...

DC2 and Xanax -- I'm ordering a Chuck today. Is there a link recommended to view first before ordering to see if there's anything I need to order in addition to the Chuck? Chargers, batts ??? anything else???
Please and thank you.

Jeff has everything you need linked on his site... Just click the links to the MadVapes website at the bottom of the page - the charger he has linked on that site is a Universal charger and works for any battery type you decide to use with the Chuck: That Built Accessories

You pick which kind of atomizer you want your chuck to handle... for example I picked the 510 threading so I could use my 510 atty's on it mainly, because 510's are my favorite...

Here is a bunch of info about the batteries you'll need for it depending on what kind of chuck you want (Big chuck or Little chuck) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/thag-built-chuck/58039-battery-info-chuck.html

Also on his site he has the dimensions for the graphics for both Big and LIttle chuck, if you decide to use a graphic that is...

The wait is about 2 weeks right now - but I got mine in 9 days hehe - I paid a little extra
I'm glad you are going to be joining the Chuck community :)

Anyways- back on topic... Did you go with the mall kiosk e-cig kelleypk73? It sounds like you did from your post. The kiosk cigs are very overpriced like you said, but there is a great sub-forum that tells you where to get cheap extra atomizers and batts so you won't have to keep using the kiosk.

Thanks everyone! To answer a few questions.......I got a Riva from VaporJunction and 12mg black cherry juice. The patch I wore was 12mg so I stuck with 12.
Oh wow great choice!!! That's wonderful that you're starting off with such a great model. Eliminates lots of frustration and disappointment, and also eliminates wasted money :)

I beat you, I've bought a mini e-cig, 808, 905, Ego, Sabertouch and Kaji Box mod + numerous juices and over 40 flavors + nic juice and PG,VG to make my own. Also over 20 atties, cartomizers & numerous batteries all within 3 weeks ;) Hey I don't drink and there's nothing else to spend money on in the small remote town where I live anyway lol.

Well well well... I seem to have found my competition.
I forgot their username but there is a member on here that has something like over 300 attys and cartos, and a juice supply for 3 years, and like 10 models... ridiculous if you ask me!

And speaking of ridiculous, think what a ridiculous fortune that ridiculous person can make if e-cigs are banned and some people haven't prepared.:w00t:
That's why I'm ordering my Chucks and batteries today. Then I'll be all done getting prepared. Never hurts to have a safety net. Looks like you're all prepared too, good job.

BTW, thanks for the info about the Chuck parts.
