Hey folks,

I was building my second and as usually you need to cut the excess lead . I did it, but there is some left and I cannot cut it more. Should I worry? I tighten the screws also put the rda on the ohmmeter and it and it shows as its supposed to (0.24 ohms)

I added some photos.

Thanks

That’s a pretty tiny amount of excess lead. Bend it out of the way if you can and if it’s too short to even do that (which it might be) just don’t worry about it. Personally I would be more concerned at how close your coils are to the top cap. You do NOT want them to touch the top cap. If you’re good you’re good though

they might not be of course, they merely loook kinda close. Just loosen the screws and push em in a bit. makes the tails longer of course so youre back to trimming depending on how much it needs.

Here's a trick for the next coils you put in: use the old coils to size the legs of the new coils. Just hold them together and make sure they are the same length ( old and new ) from top of coil to leg end.
- or make the new ones slightly shorter in this case.

Assuming there is no issue with the coils being too close to the topcap and causing a short.
Coils close to the air holes can be good. Coils positioned closer in to the center and therefore providing a more direct line to your mouth-hole can also be good. They look so close to the airholes that they may actually be obstructing them and reducing airflow.
